Absolutely beautiful china. compliment all the time on my tea set. I have salt and pepper shakers and three tier server. Love them all. Even mychusband likes. Have matching tableclothes which i use all summer. You do need a towel or cozy or prewarming of teapot if you want it to stay warm long. I use a matching teatowel, warm with tap water, and treat myself to a meditative time out!

Q: I can see from the user pix that there's an eastern bluebird, but confused about the bird in the above picture - isn't that a red-breasted nuthatch?

It does show a red-breasted nuthatch. I am trying to find the set that includes it as most show the pic you are referring to but then don’t list it as a bird included in the set. On another site they use this pic and then show and reference 4 different birds in the description.

Q: Why is the quality of the mug so bad? I have received one with small blisters all over the external surface.

Check with the manufacturer. We didn't have that problem.

Q: What is the diameter of the salad plates? Is it the same as accent plates?

I don’t know what size the accent plates are but the dinner plate is 11” across.

Lovely bird mugs

From the first time I saw these, I wanted a set, and finally broke down and ordered them. They came well packaged, and are absolutely lovely!! I would heartily recommend these. The birds are beautifully matched with a floral design on the opposite side, and they make my coffee get-togethers a delight. They are light, but durable, dishwasher and microwave safe, and hold a generous amount of coffee, which because of their tall shape stays warm long enough to enjoy it! Considering their quality, they are an excellent buy for the money.
