VIENNA SPORT PEPPERS FOR CHICAGO DOGS 12 OZ

What's a Chicago Dog? It's an all beef dog topped with these little peppers, Vienna green relish which you can also get on Amazon), fresh tomato and chopped onions, a spear of kosher dill pickle, mustard and a tad of celery salt. Very popular in Chicago, for good reason. Like no dog you've ever had. NO ketchup please, let the fresh tomatoes do the trick. SO GOOD!Many recipes can be found online. Worth a try for a unique twist on your next BBQ. We like to bbq the dogs and lightly toast the buns. In Chicago they mostly steam them, but we prefer our western twist.

Chicago Hot Dogs are one of my favorites and one ingredient is that the sandwich must include Vienna Sport Peppers. The bad thing is that living in Florida, they are all but impossible to find in stores. Amazon has come to my rescue, they are available, and I have already had a few and they are genuine and are made in Chicago. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am now!

Yes, they're ridiculosly expensive. But absolutely essential, and much less than a plane ticket to Chicago. At least, at two peppers per dog, they last a long time!

They are awesome when making a Chicago style hot dog

During my business trip to Chicago back in October, I ate at Portillos. I normally do not eat hotdogs at home, but do like to eat them out at restaurants. I also love pickles of all kinds. Eating at Portillos was great and when I came back home, I decided I wanted to try to replicate a Chicago Style Hotdog.If you are making one, these pickles are a must. I think spicniess is all relative. I can really spicy things, so these weren't as spicy for me, but had a nice tang. I think poeple that can tolerate mild spiness should be fine with this.I know others complained of the leaking. It happened to me too. And unfortunately some of the juice did leak over other orders that were in my amazon box. Luckily everything wrapped, so nothing got spoilt.The pickels themselves were fine, didn't seem old or hard. Had a nice crunch to them, etc.

On time and damage free, just the right amount of spicy and crunch for a Windy City style hot dog!

They have the best sport peppers on the planet!
