Solo 4900299 Sprayer Boom, 4-Nozzles, 48-inches

I have 16,000 sq ft of lawn and this attachment cuts my liquid applications in half the time, seems to be very well made and sturdy for what it is, I’m not sure why some reviews are trashing this as junk maybe it’s the user error, it’s not intended for beating your goats with it. I’ve adapted this wide spraying wand to work with my Flowzone 4gal backpack, it also comes with three types of tips, see photos.

This thing is awesome. Attached it to my Chapin 24V backpack sprayer with adapters and was able to spray a 1-acre lot in 1-hour with multiple fill-ups. NICE SPRAY PATTERN. The metal connectors between the nozzles does not sag and keeps the boom level. Works better than the Chapin poly boom.

Best money I have spent in a long time. Makes blanket spraying larger areas so much easier. Very consistent application.

Gotta be carful ... weak point is where the boom screws onto the wand ... IF metal at this point the unit would be a great product, given the price on pays for this unit. But, will say it does give good coverage and makes treatment go so much quickerChapin 4 gal back pack Turf and Trees Pro

The nozzles on this spray bar have a nice uniform pattern. Their spacing on the bar results in a uniform distribution if held or mounted about 18-20 inches from the plants. I wanted to connnect the bar to my FIMCO sprayer but found that while the fitting was the correct diameter, it had different threads. I manage to get a good connection using a short length of hose and a couple of hose clamps.

The boom was delivered with the box intact but the boom itself was bent. I thought about sending it back but I really wanted to get my yard sprayed so I made it work.

I recommend this product. I converted my Ryobi backpack sprayer with this. I saw a YouTube video on the conversion and it works!

EDIT BELOW WAS MY FIRST STATEMENT. TODAY, DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. USED THE SECOND BOOM TODAY, IT WAS BROKEN OUT THE GATE. O RING RETAINER HAD A NOTCH IN IT AND IT LEAKED LIKE CRAZY. GO ELSEWHERE. RUN FAST RUN.IF YOU BUY THIS AFTER READING THIS, REMEMBER, YOU CANT FIX STUPID.Great concept, but made out of cheap fittings that as far as I can tell you cannot replace. The aluminum rod is solid all they way through the fittings and they have another piece of aluminum inside that keeps the fitting from turning and from you replacing if you could even find the fittings to do so.I broke it on a broom weed the first time I used it. No way would I mount this to a 4 wheeler, it is way to fragile.I am going to build my own out of hose barbs. Only problem doing that you have to have a stick and a board to support it, but at least it will not break easily. I actually purchased 2 of these so I would have a backup. I am on the backup.
