Aveeno Moisturizing Bar For Dry Skin, 3.5 Oz

I suffer from moderate eczema in the Autumn/Winter and this year wanted to try and anticipate it rather than wait until it was too late, so I tried out this (non) soap bar after reading some good reviews, along with Aveeno Shower Oil and the Moisturising Creamy Oil. While I'm still starting to notice the first signs of trouble and am not convinced that eczema is fully controllable by soap alone, there is definitely a noticeable improvement in my skin in general so far, and I'd certainly buy all three products again.The best thing to me is that, compared with similar products, Aveeno doesn't smell like chemicals or anything too offensive - the sweetness of the oatmeal is soothing and uplifting. They also feel very good to use, the soap bar especially as it has a nice, slightly rough feel to it, which is again important to me after years of battling it out in the shower with harsh emollients and detergent based prescription treatments - ugh! Never again that horrific mainstream stodge!

I use Aveeno cream daily as I suffer from dry skin and ezcema. I purchased this soap because I was curious about other products in the range and at that price I could afford to be. The soap has very little scent which I like and left my skin feeling soft and moisturized unlike other soaps I have tried that leave my skin feeling tight. If anything this soap has helped to maintain and eradicate my ezcema rather than irritate it. I will definately being purchasing this again!!

Although this bar is not as moisturising as emollient hand wash, it certainly hasn't aggravated my eczema. Emollients are definitely less drying but this seems to wash unwanted oily substance off the skin more effectively whilst still being gentle. It is slightly textured which gently rubs off flaky skin. The best way to clean stubborn dirt if you have eczema.

I don’t usually do well with bar soaps as I would find them drying or make my body feel hard after using them. The feeling of water slapping onto a leather after using the soap. But THIS Aveeno soap was excellent! No irritation, I felt softness and my body basically agreed with it. I also appreciate that it doesn’t have a lot of toxic ingredients. I love it and will definitely buy it again.

At first i was pleased with this as the aveeno dry skin body wash had worked well for my eczema afflicted self. After a while I'm getting issues with dry and irritated skin between my fingers due to eczema. This has not worked as well as Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids or the Oilatum dry skin soap bar (available on amazon).It's probably better than most basic soaps for dry skin/eczema sufferers but you could do a lot better with the others I've mentioned.One thing I've noticed is that the soap bar actually feels really rough and coarse in the hands, which seems a bit suspect with it supposedly being for sensitive/dry skin. Maybe i got sent an exfoliating one by mistake?It's a got a good neutral non perfumed kind of scent if you don't want to smell a bit girly, it beats the gross rose granny scent of the oilatum one in that regard.It lathers up really well and is this far lasting quite well.

These really are the bee's knee's in terms of soap for babies. We still wouldn't use this on our newborn as we stuck to water and cotton wool, but at 3 months, we started to wash him with this. It left his skin soft and not at all dry. This was particularly important as he had some eczema on the back of his neck from birth. Aveeno soap and cream in combination, certainly helped clear it up.Some sensitive soaps are just a marketing ploy, but this is not, it's the real deal.

When I was a child I use to get fungal infection in my face during the summer,its called tinea versicolor. My doctor recommended to wash my face with this soap and and remember it worked.A few months ago I had a lot os break out and spots in my face so I start using it again. My face looks clean, heathy and smooth since then. I love it and I will continue using this soap. It is also really good for chicken pots!
