A perfect book for avian rehabbers!

I got this book about caring for wildlife dealing with birds. It's definitely worth it's weight in gold! It has lots of information about different species and what they eat in the wild. Many rehabbers end of finding or even the general public, baby birds and it's important to know what to feed them and how to take care of them. Also proper identification. If you're a bird lover or even planning on being a bird rehabber, then this is the book for you. It has many pictures, very descriptive in details of almost every bird you can think of or even species you are not familiar with. There's colorful photos and also real pictures of birds in this book. You won't be disappointed with your purchase of this book. In fact, it's the first and only one of its kind of book you can't find anywhere else that lives up to its standards. I mean, the quality of this book says and tells it all. I highly recommend that you add this book to your collection!

This is a teaching book, to learn HOW to identify baby birds.

Learning how to identify baby birds is a difficult task because most do not resemble the adult. This is NOT a field guide, because most wild baby birds can be identified by watching parents tend to their young. Nest disturbance is not encouraged because it can attract predators to the area, will keep parents away, and can cause nestlings to fledge prematurely. This book also helps determine if a baby bird needs help or not. Some species, such as waterfowl, are well-covered in other books and are given limited attention. The book explains why there are few illustrations of some species such as New World Sparrows and warblers. Many species are secretive and hard to find, so photographs and data is limited. The book attempts to fills a gap that has long been missing.

This adds to the existing information.

The book brings more information that we had with previous books. We need to know more so this is a welcome addition.
