Pool Patch Pool Plaster Repair Kit, 3-Pound, White

My pool was literally falling apart all the edges and three large cracks. i thought i'd try this before having to pay a fortune to resurface it. it worked great! had to change application methods since it's a vertical surface , troweling didn't work. i used heavy duty rubber gloves and smoothed it on with my hands and spread it out it looks great. took 24 hrs to cure and harden i will sand it smooth and we will be ready to paint it. ! highly recommend! easy to use.

This product was exactly what I needed and was looking for. I was hesitant to order based on some of the reviews here, looking back and re-reading some of those now I suspect those people hoped for a magic “pour-on” solution, and had no idea about techniques for working with a plaster patch material.If you have worked with wet materials that later set (like drywall compound for example) you won’t be disappointed with this product.The product matches my white plaster very well. At first glance it’s hard to find the repaired cracks. My neighbor who knew where the cracks were was surprised, on close examination he could spot the repairs but overall was surprised how well the repairs had been made.The only negative comment I have is that the directions on the jar say in bold letters “Allow to cure before filling pool”, but don’t further define that statement. Looking at manufacturers website poolpatch.com finally finds a more specific definition of “12 hours”. I believe the text on the jar could be better.

They sell this same stuff in the pool store for significantly more money. It took us a couple tries to get the water to plaster balance just right, but once we did, it patched well and so far (a couple months later) - it's holding great.

This stuff was easy to mix - smooth out - setup hard as plaster. I made three separate repairs. One on a step and 2 more on pool sidewall. Looks like it was original to my white plaster. Used maybe a third of the mix and since it is a powder should great for a later use as needed. Kinda pricey but very good product. Highly recommend!

Worked fine, but was expensive and hardly covered much area of our pool at all.

This product is horrible. I had smoothed over some places in my wall plaster to a decent smoothness where the damage wouldn't be noticed. I decided to chip out and prepare the damaged area after finding this product, thinking it would be a better solution for the repair. I followed all instructions to a tee, even watched several videos online to be certain. After mixing a filling in the damaged areas, this product cured with a very gritty texture. It is horrible and I cannot smooth it out. I had a viable solution originally but made matters worse with this garbage product. I'm mad at myself and I am mad about this product. Don't buy, find another solution.

The product worked fine and was reasonably priced.
