Treasure Gurus Antique Style Brass Wax Seal Stamp Set

I have recently begun using wax seals, I bought this box to keep my seal and wax. The box is well made and there are compartments for the wick and wax. The wax that it came with was dry and it was broken. However, I had wax I had already purchased which fit in the draw perfectly. It comes with an oil wick to melt the wax that beautiful fits in the box. I can put it away and still have it look nice in my office. I can also quickly grab it to go with me when I travel. It is small but perfect for my needs since I only use one seal and my seal comes apart. It is not made to fit a seal and there is really no room for one in the box. I will be purchasing another one for a gift!

The item was exactly as described. I am not disappointed in the least. The packaging it was shipped in was more than enough to protect it. And the contents were wrapped in plastic to ensure everything looked good ! A lot of fine detail was put into this item on every piece. One of the reasons I bought this was the melting spoon that has a strong wooden handle. The brass lamp is strong and very well made. The wood used to make this item is very well finished. My only wish is if the brass star stamp was more well defined with sharp edges for the star; But never the less I have other wax stamps of my own.This is a perfect gift for men or women who are difficult to shop for.

This is definitely a mini set. The box itself is worth 5 stars. But the set arrived with the spoon broken. I tried to find a way to communicate with this seller but there was no way to return, exchange or request a new matching sealing wax spoon/ladle. I did order an antique brass replace one — not part of this set — and it fits and blends beautifully with the brass elements in the set. The handles for the stamp and spoon are beautiful wood but neither were interchangeable with any other metal spoon or sealing wax stamp heads that are designed to screw/unscrew on the handle for changing out. The included stick wax, as others mentioned, was broken to fit the short drawer and appeared brittle. Since I was able to buy a replacement spoon that worked beautifully (link below) and wax can be easily replaced (both at my own cost), and the fact that I couldn’t find a way to get the broken spoon replaced, I’m giving this a 3-star review. In truth I think it deserves an overall 2.5-star review, but once I replaced the spoon, and wax, it turned out to be a beautiful little (functional) mini set. This is a neat, very small, set. It is great for someone who enjoys writing old-fashioned letters. The wax is much more brittle than the wax one would normally use for a wax seal, and I personally prefer to use a tea light to melt the wax, but the pieces are neat and offer some nostalgia to the owner. The small oil lamp, or furnace, had an odor when first unpackaged, possibly a cleaner or oil used on the brass, but after a lot of wiping and airing out, it will lessen. When my box arrived I was so excited, as I unpacked the burner became a problem for me. I could not get the wick off to fill with fuel. I sent the seller an email and they promptly answered. The wick unscrewed opposition the lid, counter clockwise. I filled mine with liquid oil lamp fuel. Lighter fluid works as well. My wax stickers were broken when arrived but this does not effect usage. I cut a small portion with a knife to melt. The star seal is not inter changeable with other seal stamps. The classic star is nostalgic for back in the day with letter sealing. Gorgeous wood box to keep your sealing items accessible.

Not sturdy enough. Too small. Not built to actually use. It's a conversation piece , which is nice, and those who know the history of the time period love its looks.

Product is much smaller than it appears. Each piece is tiny and not as represented in the picture in which it appears to be a Large sized Box with over sized pieces inside the box when in reality its very tiny. The box is less than six inches in over all length which makes the pieces inside even smaller than perceived by the photos provided. Very Disappointing! It is described by measurements in the details section that I found after the fact.

The box I received was a beautiful wood grain, well made. Only 3 wax sticks which is what fits in the drawer. I bought it for the box and the star stamp. I am pleased with it, a very nice set.
