I am doing a low carb diet and this is one of the only breads that is pure rye and has no sugar at all. It has 26 g of carbohydrate so i don't eat it every day. However, it is easy to figure it into my carb allotment and enjoy it with cream cheese, smoked salmon and other things. Excellent.

It is German bread,should be made in USA

My girlfriend is German and when I went over there I was surprised that one of their favorite appreciative terms is "super". We don't use that back here in the United States very often but over in Germany it's a very common expression. Anyway, that's my opinion of this bread, It's super. I heed it in the microwave and put a little salt and olive oil on it and I love it just like that though I also warm it and have peanut butter and jam on it and use it for bread in general. It's whole grain and the nice thing about it is that when you run out of a regular bread it lasts forever especially in the refrigerator where I keep it and it's just a great backup I thought, but now, truly, I prefer it to almost any other bread it's just so scrumptious anyway yeah I'll stop raving about it but it's good stuff and very nutritious.
