Waterway Plastics Pump Union, WW, 2" fbt x 2" s

This replaced my Black & Decker 2HP Variable Speed Pump 2" intake union. The B&D 2" union kit is $65 with shipping so this was a huge savings and came next day instead of 5-8 biz days. Installation to my 2" suction line plumbing was complete myself and I have no issues. It's a perfect fit.

Someone posted it fit there B&D pump so I took a chance cause, as they posted I did not want to pay 50 through B&D. It fits using the male pentair adaptor but the male threads / ID is considerably smaller than a 1 1/2" MIP to pvc internal diameter. Just posting beware, does not fit my B&D pump.

Needed this for pool plumbing. Went to my pool supply store , not luck. Tryed big chain hardware store,no luck. Amazon for pvc fittings who knew. Works perfect.

No o-ring was with this union...Quick delivery but no o-ring.Be nice to get the $5.00 o-ring with it. It shows one in the picture. Must be someone left it out at the factory.

I took a chance on the $10 spend because I needed a replacement for my B&D 1.5 HP pool pump and the B&D kit is $50 from anywhere you can find it. I was pleased to find that they are a perfect fit - and I can buy the quantity of one that I need, instead of a kit of 2 unions in 2 sizes. No waste and a $40 savings - Awesome!

Delivery took over 2 weeks not because of the company. The item was clocked in as picked up then nothing. Contacted Amazon, item replaced and received within 3 days.

I really regret buying this... after just a few months, the unions started leaking and wouldn't seal. I tried all sorts of things to get them to stop leaking - Teflon tape, pipe dope, making sure the rubber gasket was clean and properly seated, etc. But nothing would work. And then with only moderate force to tighten the ring, it cracked. You can see where the plastic was thin right where it cracked, so it was a manufacturing defect. Once I had removed the union joints, I grabbed them with pliers and realized that the plastic was extremely brittle. Don't make the mistake I did with buying these.

So, this is indeed a pump union and fits my T15 salt cell. Trouble is that the o-ring supplied is just slightly too large for the groove it's suppose to fit into which means it does not stay put across the entire circumference and you have to be extra diligent when screwing the coupling in place. This was true on both parts I ordered.
