Excellent Steamer
This steamer is perfect for making bao (you can steam 24 at a time!). It comes with two fixed layers that have handles on the side, and two layers that aren't fixed for a total of four steaming layers. Some reviewers mentioned they were confused by the layers that aren't fixed so I'll attempt to explain where they go. The unfixed layers are not the same size -- one is smaller than the other. The smaller layer goes on a ridge by the rim of the base pot. With your finger in the middle hole, lower it on to the ridge in the pot. The slightly larger layer goes on a ridge in the very top pot (see photo.). The only thing that's tricky about the bottom layer is that if you're sensitive to temperature you may need to use a hot pad to protect your hand from the steam when putting it in place. The glass lid is great so you can see how things are cooking. All in all a great pot. Also love that it comes with parchment that's the size of each layer, though most of the time I just tear off parchment segments for each bao.Definitely recommend.

Stainless Steamer Cooking
My old bamboo steamer bid the dust and as I was shopping for a new steamer I recall the difficulty of cleaning a bamboo steamer, so I decided to go with the stainless steamer and it is working great and cleans easily. So the first meal we cooked was a complete meal with 4 servings: potatoes at the bottom, then carrots, next broccoli and at the top cod fish filet. The key with steam cooking is timing and knowing where to locate the various items to be cooked. So we filled water in the steamer then added all the above ingredients. Turned the electric burner to 8 and when we saw steam coming out of the top hole we turned the burner to 4 and steamed it for 15 minutes. This was pure guess work and the only thing I would change is to have the carrots at the bottom and then the small new potatoes next. So as you can see steaming is very practical as all 4 dishes are contained in one 4 level steamer cooking on just 1 burner. Also I learned that steaming help prevent overcooking potatoes and other vegetables. The trick of steaming food is to know how much steam each dish needs so on future combined dishes I will probably insert the dishes at different time pending on how much it takes to cook each item. . . Bon Apetite

Honesty and Great Product! A++ all the way for how they do business and their product.
Concord Cookware was awesome! First, product review...Excellent as described and excellent for my mom as a gift as she loves to cook. This is excellent for her to make Banh Beo. This thing was big enough for her to put in multiple trays to steam at once and not have to keep waiting for it to finish a small batch and then having to refill. Now, UPS screwed up my delivery order and claimed they left it on my mom's porch, however we did NOT receive the first shipment along with some pants that my mom ordered from MACYS. Anyway, long story short...I guess some dang old "GRINCH PORCH PIRATE" stole the items before my parents arrived home that day of delivery.Concord Cookware was so solid as they quickly replenish and shipped out a replacement. My mom is happy, and that makes me happy. THANK YOU!!! Concord Cookware is a legit business and their product is solid!

Still uncertain about this
The quality isn't bad visually. It's a little thinner stainless steel than I expected. I wish I had bought a smaller size! The 36 CM is HUGE!!! You could make enough steamed vegetables for 10 people! My family saw it on the stove, and said, "THE SPACESHIP HAS LANDED!" It is so tall, it leaves little room under my vent hood.I don't know if it is the mineral in my water that are reacting with the metal, but there was dark particles in the water after using it to boil water to sterilize mason jars. I have decided to keep it for non-edible boiling uses, until I see if the water boils clear with filtered water.

Looks good, base pot is a bit thin but everything else are functional
Bought the 36 CM version, did not realize how big it is. It is really big, that none of my range top will be at the center of the steamer. I will probably have to use my inductive heat plate when I am ready to do a real cooking. It came with pretty good packaging, a few scratches but no dents. it is kind of dirty, again, it is so big that I cannot fit all the pots into one wash, it comes out good. Put them together and just to try it out to make sure the steam stays in the steamer, they do. The best part of this is that it is got several configuration that you can try and you can steam up to 4 trays of food in it. Will add the review when I actually cook something in it. Which is very soon! The only reason that I took a star off is because 1- it really should much more cleaner when it was shipped and 2 the base pot can be a little stronger as it need to hold up all the weight on the top.

No more microwave, best reheating tool ever!!!!
This is quite large, fits 4-5 whole lobsters. Measures 13" across and at least 17 inches high with all levels. My 10 1/2" Fiesta plates fit perfect for reheating dishes. I don't know how I ever used the bamboo steamer I had before. My microwave broke years ago and I am so happy for health reasons alone that I was not replacing that carcinogen causing device, of course, with the use of plastic wraps and plastic containers. And you no longer need to buy plastic wrap, thus saving $ here and there and reducing more harmful items from your life. The non-ionizing radiation of the microwave can affect changes in your blood and your heart rate as well, or so reported. This pan and its many levels cleans up beautifully and still looks brand new after many washes. I could sell these to friends and neighbors, because when they see it and taste the perfectly steamed food that comes from it, they ask where did I find it. And the price is truly amazing. I could have bought two for the price of a new microwave.

what a terrible shopping experience!
A thick layer of unknown black powder was on the pot's surface when I got the product. What was more surprising was that I had to pay 10.6 dollars for return shipping and 20% of the restocking fee, which must be clearly stated in the product details.
