Awesome body!
Great MIM guitar body! Replaced my purple MIM strat body with this black one. All of the holes line up great. By the way, for any curious folks out there, and maybe the seller or manufacturer can help me with this one... The 1998-1999 Mexican strat that I have has a 2 and 1/16th inch bridge mount spacing, but this body has either a 2 and 3/16th or 2 and 7/32nd. I'm really not sure which it is, I need to order a new bridge, but in the mean time I machined my current MIM bridge to kind of slot out / widen the screw holes and allow me to install it anyway. This was the only real set back form me, everything else swapped right over. All holes are drilled except for pickguard, back tremolo springs cover, and jack input cover screws. Great body, beautiful finish!

Great start for a custom Stratocaster!
Great body at a great price, I bought two for custom all Fender builds and they are flawless, just make sure that you know that the tremolo is set up for a pre 2006 vintage tremolo and you will be alright, and for those of you complaining about the 3 single coil routing, wtf??? Get a router or a Dremel or even a chisel like the old days and make it happen. Excellent buy, excellent product, add more colors Fender!

IMPORTANT: NOT a typical mexican strat body
if you’re looking to swap the bridge from a mexican made strat that you have, it will NOT fit on this body. you will have to purchase a different “vintage style” bridge because the mounting holes are slightly farther apart on this body. a new proper bridge is only 20-25 dollars though and as far as the body itself it’s great. finish is nice and durable, nice alder wood, no complaints what so ever.

Great body official fender product
Used this body to build a David Gilmour replica black strat. Everything lined up great no fitting or sanding needed.

Very nice for the money
Very nice body for the price. Only had to drill for pick guard and back plate.

Scratch magnet
I've had several Fender guitars in my life. I have 2 American Strats, none black but I had a MIM black strat in the past, it was one of my favorites. This guitar body is good for its own purpose. In my case I just wanted to use to put in all the other parts I had remaining after some mods. The bridge 6-holes is for the 2 3/16" spacing and that's ok.The problem is the finish. I was just trying out different pickguards on top to try out different colors and right after I noticed some residue from the top of the body. I applied guitar cleaning (dunlop 65) w/ a microfiber cloth. Scratches everywhere. The more I try to clean them out, the more I get. It's insanity! Not this looks like a very old pick guard that had no love from someone that never trim their nails.I can't remove the scratches and the more I use a clean/new microfiber cloth, the more scratches I get.I should keep this guitar but I've never seen a strat being such a magnet for scratches like this one.

Unalined pre drilled holes for bridge

because this is a replacement part, it has no holes for pickguard mounting screws and again the tremolo bridge hits the body (because this part has never been tested on) so it doesn't float. even the tremolo chipped the paint because it was pushing on the body paint, not the appropriate resting place in the tremolo pocket
