Repel100 Insect Repellent, Pump Spray, 4-Fluid Ounces, 10-Hour Protection

I’ve tried a few other bug sprays from Costco (for cost efficiency) that DO NOT compare to this tried & true product! I live in North Carolina where the mosquitos are intense. With the other sprays I would still get eaten alive (I have sweet blood!). With this spray I get ZERO bites. Keep in mind this is more like an oil spray, so once it’s on your skin you need to rub it all around for full coverage. The smell is strong, but it’s so worth it!!!! My daughters & I put this on and can play outside for hours without them eating us alive anymore. Worth every penny.

Purchased because I was traveling to Ecuador. Since it's tropical, all sorts of nasty bugs are around that carry unwanted diseases. Both myself, and nine other people on my trip used this bug spray and very few bug bites were reported. Those few can be chalked up to missing spots when applying.The bug spray is a spray instead of an aerosol, so it moves through airport security well in checked luggage and is easy to apply. The bottle is a decent size for the price and supported ten people for ~ 4 applications for the whole body. However, one small, unavoidable, downside is that it smells strongly of deet. This is not a shocking fact considering the high deet concentration but is a consideration to make when weighing deet percentage and smell.Definitely would purchase again, especially for a trip like that. It made the trip enjoyable despite the unfamiliar tropical climate.

I recently developed Skeeter Syndrome (google it) so I definitely need some sort of repellant during warmer months. We went on a trip to Costa Rica last week and it was advised that we use repellant that was at least 95% DEET especially since we were spending a lot of time hiking in the rain forests. Bought this repellant and sprayed it on 3 out of the 7 days we were there. Why only 3 days. Well TBH, I was lazy (more on that) and on a couple of occasions I was covered with a rain poncho or pants so figured I didn't need it.I got 10 mosquito bites in total. To be fair, a few of them are in areas that are easily missed by repellant (ie, back of hand, knee caps, back fold of knee) and they weren't that itchy. I am confident that if I sprayed the repellant on me every day, I would have far fewer bites.So all-in-all I believe this repellant works really well. I deducted a star because it's unpleasantly oily though and the bottle leaked after the first use. This is why I was so lazy in using it is because it was so messy! I have empty travel spray bottles where I will transfer the product so it doesn't leak. Thank goodness I placed the bottle in an extra ziploc bag in my suitcase on the way home as when I unpacked, there was a good 2-3tsp of liquid collected in the bottom of the bag that escaped from the bottle! So beware of this! Also, if you bring this with you in your backpack, make sure to have wipes. It's terribly oily and you'll probably need something to wipe your hands afterward. The nice thing is that this stuff has zero smell so you won't be walking around smelling like chemicals. which I HATE. A little goes a long way so you won't have to douse yourself with this either and your skin stays soft and moisturized instead of dry and chalking like with other spray (aerosol) repellants. Just be careful with the bottle if you travel with it in case it leaks like mine did.

I work with kids outside all day in parks, so trust me bug spray. This one is the truth and honestly surprised me in the best way. It kept mosquitoes and those annoying little biting flies away all day, even during peak heat and humidity. What really got me is that it works better than some of the more expensive and known sprays I’ve used. I didn’t have to keep reapplying it constantly, and while it does have a bit of a smell that sticks to your clothes, it’s not too bad and a worthwhile tradeoff. It dried down pretty quick and didn’t feel gross or sticky on my skin, which is a huge win since I’m running around all day. Size comparison included as that little bottle has more than you need to last a while.

Works well. No smell but very oily. Repels mosquitos well but does not repel knates.

Bought for collecting wood in the high mountains last year. Worked then, works now. No one in my family had bug bites, no mosquitos, gnats, ants, ticks... it even repelled my wife and kids when I was working. I didn't test it on a tent, but my nylon-rayon jungle hat didn't melt when this sprayed on it. I wouldn't recommend for dusting clothing and gear... it's 98% deet for heaven's sake. It should destroy some synthetic fabrics but I didn't notice any damage. I'm sure I have cancer in California, but I won't have mozzie bites. This stuff is powerful and you can tell. But it keeps the bugs away, for sure. Follow safety info. Know what you're doing. It's powerful. Yes. It works.

Great stuff. Been using this for many years I used to go on Fly in fishing trips to Canada. The guide recommended this product to keep biting flies away. The flies would take deep chunks of skin when they bit. This stuff kept them away and also works great for keeping mosquitoes and gnats away. Still using this today. Highly recommend.

Seemed to work as described. No bites. However, this stuff is extremely greasy. I managed to get it all over my face, lips etc. with my arm wiping my face tickles in the yard. Also, it completely softened up my toenail polish when I sprayed my feet, leaving grass stuck on my nails. I would only use this as a last resort.
