Learn to take full advantage of the power of spreadsheet modeling with PRACTICAL MANAGEMENT SCIENCE, 6E, geared entirely to Excel 2016. This edition uses an active-learning approach and realistic problems with the right amount of theory to ensure you establish a strong foundation. Exercises offer practical, hands-on experience with the methodologies. Examples and problems from finance, marketing, and operations management, and other areas of business illustrate how management science applies to your chosen profession -- and how you can use these skills on the job. The authors emphasize modeling rather than algebraic formulations and memorization of particular models. This edition also includes access to Palisade DecisionTools Suite (BigPicture, @RISK, PrecisionTree, StatTools, TopRank, NeuralTools, and Evolver) as well as SolverTable, for sensitivity analysis on optimization models. Chapters 15-17 are available online via MindTap. Review: Good deep dive into Excel - This book is a great deep dive after you get down the basics of Excel. Whatโs more, the book includes loads of example spreadsheets so itโs very easy to follow along. Review: MBA program - Book arrived in very good condition. But was missing the CD. Other than that I was satisfied with everything.

This is a review of the components of the book from Amazon, not the book
I bought the electronic version. The biggest issue is that I had not anticipated the difficulty of getting the excel files that you NEED with this book. I did manage to get them, but via my university.

A must-have reference
I find it very useful and the added Excel examples are great. The book is surprisingly light in weight even though it has 800 pages. The only bad thing is that it may leave you with wanting more examples, but unsurprisingly, as it covers almost everything that has to do with Management Science / Operations Reasearch, and therefore, requires space management. Nevertheless, the information in this book is concrete and very clear. This book can be used as main textbook or as a secondary essential resource if you have another textbook used as the main reference. Excellent for either MS/OR practitioners or academia.
