Awesome aroma
It tastes sour and smell like strong vinegar. Don't overpower other ingredients of dish and simply mix to give bit sour taste to the dish.

If 'sourness' had a smell, then this sumac smells exactly that way. Best sumac we have purchased in India. It's very hard to come by authentic middle-eastern ingredients in India. Either they are extremely high- priced, or unavailable. So, I am so happy with this purchase. We regularly use this over our fattoush and hummus.

Not up to the mark!
The product did not come sealed. As soon as I turned the lid and removed it, a handful of the sumac powder fell out. I had not expected such a poor show from Urban Platter which gets rave reviews from many consumers. I ordered a bottle of aji no moto though which came sealed. The sumac had no lemony fragrance just a sour taste.

The product is super ingredient in making several wraps and spreads. A mixed taste of salt, sour and sweet.

The product of really good. Need to have better packaging
The product is good. Only issue of the packaging is very bad for a procey product. The cap/ shaker do not work properly. Very flimsy pack.
