I have used various products over the years that are supposed to help keep humidifiers clean, so I have some experience in this area. Our current home has a forced hot air system, so humidifying is a must. We bought a 6 gal. unit this year and tried this product to reduce bacteria and slime build up. I find that though this is not inexpensive, it really does work. I have never had a unit stay cleaner than I have with this. So, even with the price, I feel like it is well worth it for the health of the air that we are breathing and to prolong the life of the filters as well as minimize build up without using harsh chemicals. UPDATE: I have now used this product for 3 heating seasons as explained above. I feel that this makes a significant difference in the quality of the moist air being put into our home from the humidifier. I highly recommend this product.

Works great! Slows down the mold growth in humidifier, longer time between cleanings. The best part, made in USA, not China.

We've been using a new 4-gal ultrasonic humidifier 24/7 for the past 30 days during a very dry winter. We consistently run through 3 gallons of tap water every 24 hrs. I've used only 2 oz of this product with each 3 gallon refill. The two small spots that you can see in the photo is the extent of the buildup inside the unit, which also has a UV light to help keep the water clean. I don't know if this ratio will do the job when the air is less dry and the refill water sits for more than a day, but for our purposes this product works. Deducted one star due to the price and a slight smell the first day when I used 2 oz per gallon. The smell was the reason I cut back in the ratio.

This is a great product!!!! We have water that is full of iron and calcium. Everything collects on surfaces badly. This actually works and I can now keep both humidifiers clean without scrubbing or chemicals! Could NOT believe it could do this!!!! My cats love the smell (me too) and come running every time I full it!!!! Worth the money!Thanks!!!!

This stuff works, but you need to use a lot. It goes quick. I only got this because my usual brand was out of stock. Probably won't be getting it again, as it goes too quickly for the cost. I believe the dosage was 2 oz per gallon, where as the stuff I normally use only requires 16ml per gallon. Oh well.

Really reduces the buildup of mold in the humidifier.

I purchased this to help maintain my humidifier. I used it as directed for 3 days and it ruined my humidifier. I have had this humidifier for a few years, this turned the inside brown and was extremely hard to clean off. I had to throw out the new filter and put in a new one. So now I am spending MORE on a new filter and way too much time cleaning out what this product caused. Luckily it didn't completely ruin my humidifier, but this is not OK. This was not cheap to purchase, and I want my money back. All options to return say, "This product is not eligible for a return or replacement". I contacted the seller and they said this, "We follow Amazon's standard return policy. Please initiate return as you no longer need the product. There is no process outside Amazon's process nor have the capability to generate return labels. Please contact Amazon if you need a return label. The return address is on the label. You can always return it via USPS or UPS." Amazon said it's not returnable when I called back so the seller is still not offering the return like say they are.
