Daron Chrysler Building 3D Puzzle 70-Pieces

These Daron models are great! Anyone who would complain about them must have never wrestled with the older-style cardboard models of this type. These ones are made of a thin foam (like posterboard) and are precision-cut. They fit together well without glue or tools, and look great. The only thing I would take issue with is the claim that these are for ages "5+" - it would take a pretty exceptional 5-year-old to put one of these together unassisted.

Great product, only grip is that the lamination of the picture to the foam board is very fragile and we had to tape the top of the building pires as they separated during extraction from the stock. Net is great product but needs careful handling while extracting the pieces (No bending allowed) and be careful fitting the edges together as quite often there is a dovetail angle cut to fit together to hold the sides together which most youngsters won't realize But it does look great once assembled even if there is the odd bit of clear tape used too,

Because I haven't tried to build model like this before so for me it was a little challenge to plug every part of the building together. I was always afraid I would make them broken in the process of building up... Anyway the completed model is very beautiful! I bought it cos I love Chrysler building very much and really want to put a model of it in my bedroom. So It really satisfied to buy it. It is detailed.

Terrible directions, but end product impressive.

I am a fan of CubicFun models. The are expertly engineered even it if take a little patience (more than a little patience) to put them together. The material (cardboard and foamcore) that CubicFun uses is just the right thickness and sturdyness if you take good care of it. The Daron version of a CubicFun model, though very similar in idea to CubicFun, did not have the sturdiness, quality of material or quality of engineering in how it goes together as does the CF models in general. That being said, since I had it and was not going to send it back I did put it together, and with some issues it turned out well and shows well now that it's finished. I'd recommend this version only if you really like these kind of models and don't mind having to put up with less quality engineering in how it goes together.

I am writing this from the perspective of my daughter. She really liked it. Yes it was easy to put together, but she still had fun taking the piece out of the cut outs and putting it all together. This made a great Christmas present for her.
