Very nice
It is a very nice chair, but I would have liked it a little wider... no lounge cushions will fit it’s narrower size. It is relaxing and comfortable using a pillow and blanket as a cushion.

Very attractive chair with nice finish and made well
Did not like that you could not adjust the back to a more upright position

Substandard design for ottoman fixture.
I am so disappointed in this lounger. Although inexpensive I did not expect it to start falling apart the first week. The ottoman portion will not stay in place at all. Constantly drops out of the brass holders. Last night one of the brass stops fell on to the floor. It was not properly screwed into place at the factory. I was able to reconnect it myself but there appears to be no fix for the ottoman problem. The only reason it gets 1 star is it looks nice but the quality, and ottoman attachment design is sub standard.

Couldn't have asked for a better product
Ordered 2 of these, just as described. Needs cushions though, alittle hard on the butt after awhile.

Good quality for the price, One Minor Flaw
We bought two of these loungers through Amazon a month ago. Ours will be protected under a covered deck, but I would not recommend leaving them exposed to sun or rain. They have been slightly stained but no varnish or other truly protective finish (the wood surface is flat, not glossy or polished). We will periodically oil them with teak oil to help prevent ambient moisture penetration, and to give the surface a nicer finish. They are substantially built, wide enough and long enough for our comfort (my hubby is 6 ft tall, 200 pounds, I'm 5'7", 132 lbs). They can be folded for storage. They DO need a cushion, would not be comfortable without it.The MINOR FLAW is the removable foot extension: if you even slightly move the chair, that section falls out, and it is awkward getting it to fit back into its slot. If you are going to be constantly moving the chairs around, it's annoying to keep having to put that end piece back. However, we now have the loungers positioned where they will generally stay put, and that is not a big issue for us.All in all, we are happy with the look and comfort of the loungers. Once oiled, I think they should have a look similar to teak without the higher price of teak.

After nine years, holding up with a repainting, but not as comfortable as I'd like
2010 Review: You must have cushions to sit in this chair comfortably (otherwise it's a little miserable), but with them, it is awesome! I love the design--I'm a woman of about 5'3" and it fits my body well. I'm not sure how it would fit a 6'tall guy, but it's great for me. It allows you to adjust the reclining positioning (seems like there are three adjustable positions for the back) and you can leave the foot rest up or put it down or remove it from the chair altogether. It has a good heft to it and it doesn't feel flimsy at all. It is well made, but I scored it only 4 stars because I think the finish won't last well. I ordered the chair in July and got about 3 months use out of it before I had to pack it away for the winter. I think I'll need to do some finish maintenance sooner than later to keep it in good shape. I'm not disappointed that I purchased it though. I think I'll have many more summers of enjoyment in it.UPDATE 9 years later in 2019:Since I purchased the chair in 2010, I've gotten 8 seasons out of it and going into my ninth. I did take mine apart a few years ago and painted it with a good-quality Behr outdoor house paint. I had to sand a few weathered spots, but the paint made it gorgeous and will make it last for another 10+ years if I keep water off it and store it in the garage after summer concludes. This is not sitting for hours in the sun, but a fairly protected spot on my patio. It's not a terribly high-quality chair. The wood, finish, and fittings it comes with are not the highest quality, but then I didn't pay for teak either. But with some care, the thing will last just fine. I noticed that I had commented on how comfortable the chair is. I have to say that I've felt a little less comfortable in it over the years. If I want to put my arms on the arm rests, fine. But if I want to nap and rest my arms by my sides, it's rather tight and uncomfortable—just not as wide as I'd like. I'm a petite woman, so I imagine a lot of people might find this to be the case. I'm glad I have the chair, but do find I don't sit in it as much for those reasons. Still a nice place to sit for a little while to gaze out at the garden, but not so comfortable to remain there for longer than an hour. Again, you need a good cushion on it. It's really uncomfortable to sit on just the wood, so consider that in your investment. Would I recommend it? Not highly recommended, but it has its merits.

With proper cushion these are excellent and can last for years
Very comfy if you get cushions will last for years if anything like the last set I had (these look sturdier).

Love these chairs
I bought two chairs and am pleased with both. I did apply a coat of linseed oil to help protect the finish as recommended by other reviews. The chairs are a little low so if you have issues getting up, you might want to purchase another chair.
