Amazon Basics Vinyl Coated Dumbbell Hand Weights

I'm really happy with the build quality, nice and solid. It's got an excellent design to it so it's easy to use for a workout I think it's really good value for the money. I'm very impressed with it. They did a good job for such a tiny object. Very comfortable

I recently bought the 15 lb pair of vinyl coated dumbbells, after purchasing the 10lb pair a few years ago. These are sturdy weights that will stand the test of time. Easy to grip because of the coating and love that each weight is a different color. I also searched for a while for comparable weights on Amazon, Dick's, Walmart, second hand stores etc., and couldn't find better or cheaper. Highly recommend for your home work outs!

Ive had these 2Ib dumbells for 3 years, and they have quickly become a staple in my fitness routine. These dumbbells are well-made and portable, making them perfect for many exercises. If you buy those big heavy ugly uncoated iron weights (not these), sometimes you'll look at them and think "Forget it, I'll lift them some other time". Because that type of weight can feel cold and rough, and if you only get the heavy ones you may view them as hard to get started/motivated. The point of getting weights is to use them, not to buy and feel macho looking at them sitting in the corner, while they collect dust.These weights come in a variety of sizes and colors, they are very attractive and feel good in your hands. I bought the 8 pounds (each) red and the 12 pounds (each) blue. The reds are nice to get started in your workout, if you are a man you'll likely find them easy but that's the point - they get you started easily, they don't intimidate you or make you feel like they will be an ordeal. After starting with a low weight like the reds, you can move to the blues or whatever you want, however you want. I would guess that women will want to start at much lower weights than the 8 pound reds, and fortunately those are available too at great prices and attractive colors.I found the weights to be nicely finished, though there were some minor spots where I chose to sandpaper them down slightly to be even smoother. I wouldn't say that this is necessary but you might want to consider doing it. If they made some 16 lb dumbells I might consider buying them too, but as of now I'm very satisfied with the 8's and 12's. They do have some nice looking 15's (forest green) but I'm not sure those are enough of a bump up from the 12's to be worthwhile for me, and the 20's would be too heavy for what I want. Overall these are a tremendous value, especially when you consider the free shipping from Amazon on what will be a heavy package.

As you could see from the picture they don't weigh the right amount. There both "15 lbs " more like 14lbs but beside that they're pretty good weights. They smell like a tool box like when u pick up a screwdriver and get tHt type of smell. Im happy with the weights even tho there not 15lbs

I've been using these multiple times a week. They have lasted a long time with no visible wear with heavy use of them. Fair pricing, and i love the vinyl coating. It prevents me from having to wear gloves while lifting them.

I like this type of weight because the smooth rubbery surface is easy to hold onto and is also easy to wipe clean. This is a big advantage over the kind that are kind of spongy on the surface. I previously bought SPRI weights, but they are frequently out of stock and they don’t come in all weight denominations. So I switched to the Amazon basics brand and I like them. I got both the 8 pound and 10 pound weights in the Amazon basic brand.

These weights are awesome. Bright colors, weight marked in big numbers on end. They are iron, not concrete. Can't go wrong with these. Plus, they increase in 1 lb increments.
