Fibreglass is the material of choice for lining fish ponds, It is resistant to weathering and temperature variations and is non-toxic to fish. The finished, water-tight topcoat surface is smooth and easy to clean and maintain. Coloured topcoats can be applied, particularly black or dark green, which enhance the look of Koi swimming against a dark background.
