New Upgraded Belt...Use the new routing

I own a 2006 Honda Civic, EX 1.8L. The belt is very well made and fits perfectly if you follow the new routing. It is longer than the original belt as Honda released a service order and advised to use the new routing using a longer belt. I have attached a photo that I hope will help you change the belt with now problem.

Nice purchase

I replaced my old belt on honda accord 2007 SE 4cyl with this one.it is working ultimate. My only concern is original belt on my car had deep grooves but this one had shallow grooves but its working fine without issues. My advice for DIY:please please buy special tool for this purpose(i purchased grearwrench serpentine belt tool) and replacement of belt was very smooth.earlier i wasted my time n energy by using different wrenches, extensions, breaker bar with socket etc etc..but i was unable to replace the belt.but with special tool replacement was very easy and went very smoothly.i am planning to replace my belt again after 3years. I heard bando makes quality belts plus i saved some dollars by purchasing it from amazon as local auto parts was asking for almost $32 for this belt.and yes one more advice,to make sure which belt fits your vehicle, just go to bando website first and after entering all ur car information they will show you the exact model of the belt that fits ur car.note that model number of belt and then come back to amazon n order that belt.its just to be double sure so that things go well..!i hope it helps..

OEM Bando vs Bando Aftermarket

Great product and price. This replaced the factory Bando belt and the quality is as good but a little different then the factory OEM Bando Honda belt. The OEM belt seems to have a tougher weaved like fabric outer shell wereas the the Amazon supplied has a shiny rubber outer shell. The OEM Bando also is different on the inside grooves, the OEM belt has like rubber grooves whereas the the Amazon supplied has a felt like texture that seems to work well and keeps the noise down. *** BOTH of these differences ive mentioned maybe just the difference between a worn belt vs new.**** Check out the pictures ive included. I don't think you can go wrong with this part. The car is quieter and smoother then ever, but cant comment on the longevity.

Shreds apart

I installed this to replace the original that had 86k miles, no cracks or rot, but figured preventative maintenance, right? This (see attached pics) is what happened after approx 1500 miles, the majority being highway. I don't know if I received a defective one or not, but the same issue has happened to other reviewers. The sad thing is it's made in the USA. So now I bought the best belt that Autozone offers and will have to wait and see how that holds up.

2006 Honda CR-V EX

A squealing belt is probably the single most powerful detractor from a car's perceived value that I can imagine. My 2006 CR-V had one that would let everyone in the parking lot know that I had a car that was on its last legs. I slapped this puppy in there in about 20 minutes (it's a tight fit, but if you take off the passenger front tire it is easier) and it sounds and spins around those pulleys like a brand new belt. Here's a hint on working your tensioner pulley: put a 14mm box wrench on it, then on the open end, put in your 1/2" drive wrench or breaker bar. This will give you enough torque to loosen up that pulley in the tight space.

Same as the OEM belt on the 2009 CR-V

Exactly the same belt as the OEM belt on the 2009 CR-V. Bando is the OEM manufacturer for Honda's belts, and with Amazon's price (around 20 dollars) being so reasonable, why would you use an off-brand belt like Dayco, Yates, or Good-Year?The installation procedure was a little more difficult on the 09 CR-V than other Hondas I've worked on due to the tight space around the belt tensioner area. I recommend removing the power steering fluid reservoir and its bracket, which is held on by two 10mm bolts. This will free up the space you need to get the new belt installed.

Parallel with Goodyear

I'd say this belt is parallel with the top quality Goodyear, Gates, or Dayco belts.I'd never Heard of Bando before, after reading their website, I was confident that this belt would be fine on my 2007 BMW 335i; which is a major pain in the a$$ to change, so I only wanted to do it once.Unlike Dayco and other brands, bando only makes a top quality belt; opposed to making a low quality for 10 bucks, a mid level for 16 bucks and a top quality for $20+.So far no squeaks.

Great price compared to local auto parts store prices. Quality belt from what I can tell.

The price was great on this belt when compared to the local auto parts store. I find the Amazon part match system to work ok at best. My recommendation is to use a site like Rock Auto or even O'Reilly Auto to find the part number, then search Amazon. You will find parts that way that you otherwise couldn't even find on Amazon.I installed the belt in 10 minutes and it has worked great ever since. I'm not really familiar with the brand Bando but it seems to be a quality part similar to Gates or other high end brands. One tip, whenever you are replacing a belt, especially if you are replacing a broken belt is to clean the rubber off of the pulleys before you install the new belt. The pulleys that are flat can get rubber build up on them that can make it onto your new belt if you don't clean it up first.
