This is the first headlamp that I have ever owned that I had to pay for. I am a retired, disabled, United States Marine and of course our headgear was state of the art with night vision capabilities and considerably more expensive. So i did a lot of research prior to making my purchase, based on my needs. I am a Photo Hobbyist and I get into Astrophotography, so most of my work is done in the dark, in fact my demands are considerably different. Most of you more than likely require the most amount of light that you can possibly muster up. In my case, I am always in search of keeping my work space as dark as possible, not unless I am using a particular form of light in order to achieve a special effect. So let us get down to the 'LE' Headlamp; Most of the information that was posted by "Lighting EVER" was quite informative; the description and specs. A fair amount of customer questions with adequate responses/answers. The reviews ranged from 1 star to 5 stars, but for the most part they fell in the middle, but in the end the final rating averaged out to 4 stars. It was the lower star ratings that were quite damaging. I decided to give the 3200001 model for $7.99 a try. I liked the battery compartment being situated up front directly behind the light housing, less wires or obstructions coiled around the head straps. Speaking of headstraps or headbands, whichever you prefer, These soft elastic are very comfortable, and to me that is a definite PLUS++++ You see, I sport a 'Chrome Dome' Marine Corps term for 'baldy,' by choice. I just prefer the smooth and shiny presentation, and so do the LADIES!! With that in mind, so to speak, the soft elastic bands are very comfortable, with no irritation, or slippage. Adjustable, relaxing fit!!! Now for the most important part, the lamp itself; To my overwhelming surprise those tiny little LEDs, 18 white, 2 red, are very powerful and produce a tremendous amount of light from just three little triple A batts. You also have the added RED Light Feature, Two RED LEDs that operate on a SOS Strobe mode, and one other added bonus is the main headlamp swivels all the way down, locking into 5 different positions for those of you who have a tendency to trip over your own feet in the dark. LOL!!! :-) One last feature would be the replacement of the three triple A batts. Very simple, no instructions are required. It is so simple that even those who are NOT mechanically inclined can figure it out in a matter of minutes, 1 minute if that!! Wow!!! Works sooo well! Very bright (and 3 brightness levels t!) , and you can adjust the angle of the light... so you can see somthing up close, or if you are walking in the dark... I point it a little higher so I can see farther. Awesome for handsfree light when the power goes out, or when I am coming in late at night in my dark neighborhood! It's comfortable on my head... I can wear it for long periods of time while working in the attic, or down in the basement where the lighting is low etc. There aren't any instructions that come with it... and the silver housing for the batteries where the light mount is made out of plastic. You only turn one side of the little silver knobs on the side (very carefully read the letters written near/on each knob to figure out which one to open to put your batteries in. It comes with batters. And oh! the strap is very high quality (as good as ones I've had that cost. UUUUUNNNBELIEVABLY good deal for the price. Great to have for all members of the family... great for reading at night too... great for camping, great for sleepovers for the kids, great for digging around in the tool shed, or for when working on your car or even when looking for something in the car at night! Or for digging around in a close etc. And awesome - for when the power goes out! WWAAAAYYY better than a flashlight- because have this little guy- lets you be hands free for carrying things, or fixing things... etc. I love this little guy. I bought two! And plan on buying more as gifts!

Overall a steal for around $8. I almost bought one at Lowes for $14 but decided to check Amazon. Can't imagine the one at Lowes being any better. This works just fine. Bright LED light with four options (white, with three brightness options, and a blinking red option). Pros: -> Low priced -> Bright lights -> Four modes (Bright White, Brighter White, Brightest White and blinking RED) -> Shines the beam forward, but also shines some straight down (not nearly as bright) which helps illuminate a wider field in front of you. -> Light weight with adjustable straps Cons: -> The forehead pad is not as soft as I hoped. I honestly thought "they need to put padding here, it is uncomfortable on my forehead" then I pulled it off and felt it and noticed it had a pad. I was shocked. I thought it was hard plastic. -> Three levels of brightness are a bit extreme. I think two would have been fine. I would have also have liked a steady RED option, not just the blinking -> Sometimes the "straight down light" (see bullet in PROS above) shines back in your eyes. -> You can adjust the angle, but it is a big angle, say, 45 degrees on each click. Would have liked more intermediate options for the angle. -> Plastic housing, while secure, feels cheap. Good for weight, but worried about durability if it drops or is bumped too often.

Bought one for a friend for her birthday because she does lots of home improvement projects and extra light is always helpful. She also has a crawlspace under her house so she wears it when she has to go into the crawlspace so she doesn't have to carry a flashlight. Then, I made a joke that I could use it when I read and do my homework for graduate school...and it turns out...it's actually fantastic for reading! The three levels of brightness are great for adjusting it to just the amount that I want, and the different positions (angles that the light can shine) are great. Call me a nerd, but I'm totally buying one for use when reading. I'm in graduate school for English, so I read a LOT, and it's so nice to use this light because I can read anywhere, even outside at dusk. (I've actually been borrowing my friend's The side button makes it super easy to turn on and off and switch modes, and the (adjustable) elastic straps around your head (with the soft pad on the forehead where the light is) are super comfortable. Sometimes I even forget to take it off when I'm done reading! Not only WOULD I purchase this again, I actually am buying another one right now so I can give the first one back to my friend and keep my new one for me for reading. I'm also going to get one for my dad because he's older and loves to read, so this will definitely help him keep light on his book when he reads. Ironically, as I'm writing this, I'm at my friend's house and she's putting together a new table from IKEA and she asked if she could have the headlamp back to be able to see the tiny screw holes in the table. I couldn't ask for a more well-timed example--haha!

Bought one of these for walking the dog, and liked it so much that I bought another 2, one for use in the lab, and one so my wife would have one too. I like putting this over a ball cap. You have to cinch down the cap some to handle the weight, but once you do, it works great. The cap visor blocks the beam from hitting your glasses and improves your night vision. The harness on the headlamp does help with the weight. To change the batteries you rotate one of the side knobs to the open position, and pull out the battery harness. I had to change a set of batteries on the first, so the court is out on battery life for this. You tap one button on the side to toggle between low/medium/high/flashing red/off. I really do not use any of the other settings, but I suppose flashing red would work if you wanted to maximize your night vision while maintaining visibility. You can tilt the head lamp down and up, and I was able to angle it properly to go over the bill of my hat to where I needed the light. When the dog poops, it sure helps having this lamp to find where it is and bag it. My wife took it to her church dinner, where they were grilling at night and had no light source. It worked fine there. This could use improvement in two areas for the next version (1) reduce the weight to allow you to use it for longer periods (2) maybe change the button functionality so you do not have to go through unwanted settings to turn it off.

I like this product so much that after I bought one for hiking I then bought another for my cars emergency kit, the kit in my wife's car, the garage, and one for each emergency kit I've prepared for family and friends (it's a side job I have). I trust this product and enjoy it's versatility and ruggedness. My only regret is that I waited for so long before getting one (many!) of these. When they are on sale on Amazon these are a fantastic, fantastic value. Uses AAA batteries. UPDATE: I loved this project so much that I purchased a couple more. They are a tremendous value and work great! Low-level battery drain so you get more bang for your buck. So comfortable to wear that once affixed to your noggin you will likely forget you are wearing it after but a short time! BUT I've found the lamp to not be as durable as I'd initially believed. I have one in my satchel at all times and something pushed in the "on" button and it won't turn off anymore... Bummer. Thankfully they are pretty cheap and easy to replace. Pros: - Allows for hands-free light. - Affordable solution when on sale (which is quite often). - Energy efficient thanks to the LED's which also offer a copious amount of light with 3 light intensities and one setting for red blinkers. - Adjustable head band even fits my fat head! Cons: - Not as durable as I'd hoped.

I bought this headlamp here on Amazon for $7.99 because I was getting new backpacking gear, but this is a great multi-purpose headlamp. Whether you're just planning on going out for an overnight fishing trip, or you need to crawl under a stage to wrap L21-30 power cable, this headlamp will do it reliably and for an affordable cost! It's a fairly simple package that comes ready to go with 3 AAA batteries to start you off. The lamp itself turns on via a rubber button on the right side of the cylinder, one press turns on the light to what we'll call 50% power. The second press brings you up to 75%, and a third brings you up to full brightness which at this point will light up an entire campsite clearly. Coincidentally blinding out your face to anyone you look at, so heads-up CIA spooks! A fourth press brings up blinking red lights, what you want to use that setting for I'll leave up to your imagination. The next one turns off the lamp resetting the cycle. The construction is pretty solid for it's price and held up for me in some pretty heavy rain. It wouldn't hold up if you stepped on it with a work boot but at this price I wouldn't expect it to. The hinge clicks securely into several positions that allow you to light-up the floor, ceiling, and everything in between without moving your head. There's not much more to it then that, it does what it says, and it does it well! Sidenote: If you're wondering whether this will fit over your big head, It will. I generally can't wear baseball caps with anymore then 2 notches clicked in because of my giant head. This headlamp still fit very comfortably.

It works for what I wanted, when I need to fix something in my car, for my mountain trips, etc. I love it.

Mit der Lampe bin ich wirklich sehr zufrieden. Ich trage die Lampe, wenn ich bei Dunkelheit draußen joggen gehe. Hierfür eignet sie sich super, da sie ein helles Licht macht und fest an dem Kopf befestigt werden kann. Die Lampe lässt sich an der Seite durch einen kleinen Druckknopf an und ausschalten, was wirklich sehr gut funktioniert. Die Lichter sind sehr hell und man kann auch weit in die Ferne schauen. Sehr praktisch ist auch, dass die Lampe im Winkel verstellbar ist, das heißt, wenn man sie etwas mehr nach unten neigen möchte ist dies kein Problem. Hierbei macht diese auch einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Zudem kann man die Bänder zur Befestigung am Kopf ganz einfach in der Länge verstellen, sowohl seitlich als auch oben. Hierdurch ist ein angenehmer und fester Tragekomfort gewährleistet. Insbesondere beim Joggen ist dies sehr wichtig. In Sportgeschäften kostet eine ähnlich Lampe gerne mal das 3-4 fache. Ich würde mir die Lampe jederzeit wieder holen und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

La banda para la cabeza es excelente calidad. pero la lampara en si es de plástico todo y no tiene una excelente calidad de construcción. de todas formas, hace el trabajo bien, la lampara es muy potente y hace lo mismo que una lampara mas cara. buena compra!

Arrivata in meno di 24 ore, è leggerissima e direi anche abbastanza potente. eccezionale! luce regolabile e, quella più forte, molto intensa e profonda. Torcia PERFETTA per mio figlio. Fa una luce veramente notevole per correre già la modalità in risparmio di energia e' più che sufficiente a garantire una elevata visibilità. The headlamp arrived in good time and was well packaged in a sturdy box inside a bubble wrap bag. It came with three batteries which slot into the side of the lamp. The switch is also on the side with a click through 5 positions - 1 - light low (2 white LEDs), 2 - light medium (10 white LEDs), 3 - light high (18 white LEDs), 4 - 2 flashing red LEDs only, 5 - off. The light is focused into a circular spot of about 1 metre diameter at a distance of about 3 metres. The two red LEDs are positioned below the main lamp and are set to flash steadily. These are also focused onto a central spot. The headband is a soft material with good elastic properties and allows for a wide range of sizes from adults to small children. There is a thin layer of padding behind the light to make it a more comfortable fit against the forehead. The light it emits is bright enough for most applications. The lamp can be positioned to four different directions fixed by a reassuring 'click'. This is a good buy for the money. The only thing which I can criticise is the lamp itself is a little bulky and could have been more compact.
