Great pump to use with Tetra 2500 filter
Like other reviewers, I really like the variable flow rate with the remote and we didn't know what we really needed when we started our pond project. I have (2) 24" wide waterfalls that free fall about 3 1/2 feet into a pond. At the highest setting, this pump will flow an "unbroken sheet" of water out of both scuppers all the way into the pond. BTW, the common recommended flow rate for waterfalls is 1500 gpm per foot of waterfall width, which would be twice as much as I have. 1500 gpm probably exceeds most Class 5 Rapids. We found out we didn't like that much noise. We always ran it on the lowest setting so the water could flow down the rock face of the wall. Still pretty loud though. Then we converted the pool into a goldfish pond. Installed a Tetra 2500 bio-active pressure filter. They caution that their filter will choke flow rates by 45% which was fine by me, because it finally slowed down the waterfall flow to a reasonable trickle, and that's still at the pumps lowest setting! However, when I need to perform a backflush of the filter, I use the remote to change the pump to the highest setting, which really blasts the crud out of the filter media. Best of both worlds.I've never had a clogging problem. I have a 700 gal pool with 28 goldfish averaging 9" in length. Yea, it's way overcrowded according to "the experts". Those fish create more waste than you can imagine, and the inevitable algae adds to the load as well. This pump has been running non-stop for 2 years now. The pump is positioned in a skimmer box, which has a strainer net behind the weir, so leaves and chewed off plants get stopped there.Good pump. May buy another as a backup because this one can't run forever.... or can it?Update: After almost 7 years of non-stop operation, it finally quit. The new one has a phone app for remote operation in lieu of a dedicated remote.

Very quiet and well-written app
This pump is being used for a pondless waterfall. It provides plenty of water at full power and the adjustable speed allows experimenting with the look and feel of different flow levels. The iOS app for controlling the pump is very easy to setup and provides information about WiFi signal strength which is helpful because the pump controller is quite distant from my access point.

Works well on our waterfall
Our house had 2 water falls built into the yard. One side keeps going out due to gardener/cleaner error but Iam always happy to buy a new one to replace it. These are not cheap but quality pumps that could be rebuilt tho I buy new ones out of convenience. It can be powered as a stand alone unit switched from your controller or remote. It also has 3 flow settings which is nice.

Please Contact me ASAP
Hello, I’m looking to contact the supplier of this item. I purchased this item in February along with a bunch of other waterfall aquascape items to complete my project. I didn’t start my project until the weather got nicer about a few week ago and when I opened the box the remote control for the pump was the wrong one. The remote control adapter that I have is not Compatible with smart technology. I’m not pleased with this at all as I was looking forward to controlling my waterfall spillway from my iPhone which therefore I cannot. I tried to search to contact the supplier and this was the only thing I found. Please get back to me ASAP to resolve this issue. Thank you

With what these cost one should expect better quality. Maybe the newer ones are better - ...
These are spares for my water feature. After two summers usage the bearings in the originals squeal loudly. With what these cost one should expect better quality. Maybe the newer ones are better - I hope!
