Hearing Depot is a great company!
This is a great company to do business with. They are very responsive and give very fast human responses (not automated) to questions and concerns. That makes them a great business in my book! Unfortunately for me, the device will not work correctly in my media center. I'm heart broken as I really wanted this to work for me. My TV won't send sound output to the TV connector and the surround system. I tried multiple settings and connections but I had success only if the TV sound outputs to its own speakers and the device. My spouse couldn't stand the TV sound on its own speakers. So, for those reasons, I had to request a return.***Update: I switched the TV setting (Samsung) to PCM, and it worked. The sound surround operates normally, and so does the TV connector. I'm happy I gave it all a fresh look before shipping. As of now, everything works excellent! I canceled my return request!

Superb - Makes TV Great Again!
Superb! My Audiologist wanted $315 for one, so I was skeptical when tis was $125 cheaper. This is real Phoneak and it works beautifully. Install was easy, 2 plugs. The device and my Phoneak Sphere hearing aids communicated immediately, and voila! The sound is fantastic. I CAN HEAR THE TV PERFECTLY!!!! Also, the hearing aids seem to know what bluetooth device is nearest and switches automatically. If you ae on the fence - GET THIS!

Better than the tvs Bluetooth
The Bluetooth I had with the pendant worked better as this generation seems to cut out one side, either / or for no reason especially if I turn one ear away from the TV. It's as if the signal is weak. Sometimes it doesn't want to connect and sometimes it just disconnects. When it randomly disconnects it's difficult to get it to reconnect unless I leave the room and then come back. This is with new hearing aids too. The price of this unit vs the other offerings still offers value, unless this sort of thing bothers you a great deal.

Perfect
Works great with my father-in-laws hearing aids. I peel off the audio to the t.v. and run it to the Phonak which then has a good bit of volume control on it, which is nice.

Buyer Beware!
The company we purchased the TV Connector through "Hearing_Aid_Accessories" told us that they had a 30-day return policy with a one-year warranty on the TV Connector. This product last only 8 months. We were told that we would have to send the bad unit out of the country to have it serviced. My wife is disable and is almost 80 years old having a challenge of hearing. Where is the customer service and human compassion? I know there is a Phonak office in the United States, but that office will not service this product because it was purchased through "Hearing_Aid_Accessories". With such poor service we cannot recommend this company or Phonak for not taking care of their client or product. I'm sorry I've had to write a bad review, but don't think anyone else should have deal with what we've been going through for the last two months. Buyer beware. After 3 months of trying to get this unit repaired, I found out that "Hearing Aid Accessories" is a UK company. I also happen to be at a USPS drop off and heard someone talk about mailing something to the UK. If not certified it could take up to three months for it to be received, if it were certified so you could track it. It would be over $100.00. Just think if you would have purchased the 3-year extended warranty. I'm also disappointed with the clout that Amazon has, could not do more to help.

Just what I wanted
This works really well. I can hear everything- just the way it was intended. I don't have to try boosting voices and reducing music scores, I can listen to the full blend of sound and still hear every word! Two issues: I needed something that didn't shut off the TV or soundbar speakers so that my wife could hear at her volume. This solves that problem. Second, I could not get the on/off button to work most of the time, no matter how hard I pushed. I sent it back and immediately got a replacement. The on/off button didn't work any better. Now, I just unplug the power cord when I'm done. Good customer service, bad on/off switch design?

If one is great, are three even better?
I purchased and installed the TV connector for a person that watches a lot of recording on TiVo. Since there are TiVos on 3 floors of the house, I was asked to buy and install two more. One install has 3 devices feed into a TV on HDMI cables (Tivo, VCR and DVD). Sound comes out of the TV on a 3.5mm audio cable into a soundbar. I placed a splitter on the cable and split the feeds into the soundbar and the TV connector. My rationale was if the sound was adequate for the hearing aids, then the soundbar could be off. Further adjustment meant turning the volume on the TV connector higher and the volume on the TV lower. That worked and when the TV is off, no sound is coming from the TV Connector.Yet another install allows for me to split the optical feed from the TV to the sound bar. It makes for a lot of volume adjustments but for the one wanting/needing to listen just with their hearing aids, it makes more sense.I haven't met the challenge of two different volume levels for two different individuals with hearing aids, but think we might have to adjust our streaming levels using our mobile phones for those occasions.
