Q: The pump is not turning off although the pressure is reaching 80psi, is there any setting that is needed for the pump to automatically turn off?

I had tons of issues with this pump- the 3rd one i got as a replacement is finally working great- yay! Lol but it’s supposed to go to about 80 psi on the pump gauge, that’s where it runs good at. Make sure you have a pressure gauge before the pump, AND after the pump. Before gauge needs to read at about 20psi (pump off and have a gauge on an hose faucet outside to test) then the AFTER gauge should read no note than 70psi (mines at 68) this is so the pressure going into your homes doesn’t break lines going to sinks and toilets. My pump wouldn’t turn off at first and it was creating nearly 100psi on the pump gauge, and this was because I didn’t have at-least 3ft of straight piping on the discharge side of the pump. The 3ft needs to have NO 90 degree turns or anything, just straight pipe. Otherwise the pump will get confused by the angles and trick it into thinking something was on in your home. I also had to manually turn the pump off, then back on and click the RESET button on the blue upper piece.

Q: max wattage or load current used

3/4 HP = 562W. @115v => 4.9A I can't find any labels or specs to confirm these numbers. Expect start-up current to be 2x this

The gauge will show the pressure build up in the body of the pump.
