The Best Rock Pop Fake Book: for C Instruments

Keys of songs are modulated for the most efficient page space usage, but it's hard to beat the amount of songs you can play along with for the price. The only real downside is the terrible, cheapest binding. I would easily pay $10 more for reasonable binding.Instead, every time I purchase some kind of songbook compendium (most especially these giant Hal Leonard tomes), I immediately take it to my local FedEx print store and have them cut and rebind it into two or three separate books, each ringbound(so they can open flat) with plastic sheet covers.It's well worth it. The difference being a book you will continue to use and one you leave on the shelf because the binding is all screwed up.There are many different decades/genres of songs and different years of volumes. The overlap, if you glance over what's in each book, can be mitigated exponentially. A good practice tool at the least.

I didn't realize just how DATED this book is.Most of the songs in it are 60s and 70s era pop, or even OLDER. There are some hits from the 80s and 90s mixed in. It def needs an update. Aside from that odd selection, the charts are pretty accurate.

The other Hal Leonard Fake Books have the chord diagrams which make it so much easier to play along. This book just has the chord notes. Kind of a pain for songs with lots of slash chords as I never am quite sure how they sound.

Good music book. For me not enough old music, too much POP not enough Rock. Very thick and pages are very easy to read.

Wonderful collection of contemporary and older rock tunes. This book made for many evenings of enjoyable piano playing with family singing along

This brings back so many memories, and I am looking forward to singing with my adult kids while they can play along. Great book!

Great songs not common in other fake books. Easy to read, built to last. I hope they keep writing more like this one

The book is really really big and includes so many songs. No complaint. Really important book.

For me there were just too many songs that were not big hits. Rather disappointing.

Great book, wouldn't recommend the kindle edition as printing and browsing is not straight forward especially as some scores span multiple pages.
