These chemicals are used for Cyanotype, a photographic printing process that produces a vibrant cyan-blue print. Potassium Ferricyanide is a light-sensitive iron salt; when you add it to any natural surface, including cotton, linen, silk, canvas, wool, paper, wood and leather, it enables you to create a dynamic composition. Review: Excellent (and cheap) way to make Cyanotypes! - I purchased this PF along with the FAC to make my first Cyanotypes. They both work wonderfully! Mixing your own emulsions (as opposed to premixed solutions) is a much cheaper and satisfying method to get into historical printing processes. I will definitely purchase again once I've run out...which may be a long time. Review: Works great - Works great
