Kidde Kitchen Fire Extinguisher, 711A, RESSP

The Kidde Fire Extinguisher for Kitchen, Residential, Single-Use, is very well made, sturdy, and should do the job. This is one Item in my kitchen I hope I never have to use. However, I do highly recommend having one available, just incase.

I haven’t had to use my fire extinguisher yet but I know that I will be able to rely on it if needed. It gives me peace of mind to have in my house should any emergency require it. Very clear instructions and lightweight enough for me to use.

This extinguisher is the right size for easy storage access and quick use in a kitchen. It is also the only one sold that won't damage expensive kitchen appliances. It also has a long unused service life making it very reliable in spite of its low price. I also have a large commercial grade extinguisher nearby, but this one will be the first "go to" if ever needed. Be sure to get a discount on your homeowners policy for having fire extinguishers.

I bought this for my new apartment especially since we donthave good ventilation in our apartment just in case of a kitchen fire by chance. We thankfulyhave noted to use it but already feel safer having it around. It is a relatively small size easy enough to put under a kitchen sink or keep out of the way until needed. not too heavy for a small person to hold. I like that it is white and not a bright red attracting attention to it as well. Good value of the money and with any luck will not have to use it!

Finding a fire extinguisher specifically rated and designed for kitchen use is harder than it should be. Most of what you see on shelves is generic ABC dry chemical, which works but isn't ideal for grease fires and can make a serious mess of your cooking area. This Kidde is built for exactly that scenario, and that specificity is why I bought it. The sodium bicarbonate agent is what sets it apart for kitchen duty. It handles flammable liquids and cooking grease, and the proprietary nozzle is designed to cut down on oil splash, which matters when you're dealing with a grease fire. Spraying the wrong thing on a grease fire, or even spraying the right thing too aggressively, can spread it fast. The fact that someone thought about nozzle design for this application is a good sign. It's single-use and residential, so be clear-eyed about that. Use it once and you're buying another one. But for a kitchen extinguisher that you hope you never actually need, that's fine. The pressure indicator is easy to read, the wall mount bracket makes placement straightforward, and the pull pin is simple enough that you won't be fumbling in a panic. Good to have

Well packaged. Good safety features. Hopefully I will never have to use it but I am glad I have it just in case. I have discharged one of these before, and it put out the fire fast and without spreading the fire as some chemical extinguishers do. This model holds its pressure for a long time which is nice. It means I dont have to replace it as often. Good value for the peace of mind it provides, and it can potentially save many lives.

I replaced my ancient 20 year old fire extinguishers with these. The installation was easy since the existing brackets worked fine. Peace of mind knowing that I have extinguishers that are new and will work when I need them.
