Does it have a removable ash pan?
Does this unit need a seperate 15 or 20 amp breaker?
I can't get it to ignite and when it ignited it will only run for about 20 mins and it goes out. message says check if hopper is out/check burn pot?

Well-designed. Extremely rapid customer service, well made, very lovable. Always the center of conversation with visitors.

Hot damn n' biscuits n' gravy! I was just walking away from my computer where I was asking the seller (Comfortbilt) via email if they could spot me a couple door magnets broken in shipping - the phone rang. It was Comfortbilt looking to get me new magnets! The stove arrived in perfect shape except the two door magnets on the left side had cracked apart. I saw no other damage opposite the magnets so otherwise it came in perfect shape. Packaging something that size and weight such that nothing breaks is, I'm sure, not trivial. So two magnets cracking is about the smallest problem I've seen in most freight coming from Amazon sellers. My experience with wood stoves is only with an Englander catalyst stove. That stove is well made, >95% efficient when well maintained, but a bit tough to clean. Their customer service has also been quite good for me. I think I might not have used brass/steel combuster fasteners. Could have madethat easier to clean and service without adding too much complexity. This is a _really_ sweet stove. Has been easy to use, easy to keep clean, very quiet and can really deliver heat after a surprisingly rapid warm up starting from cold. If there is anything I could change it might be the foot print shape, but I knew the shape/size when I ordered so wasn't disappointed at all. I believe the stove is "made in china", _however_, and this is very important, it was almost certainly designed in the US. I would prefer to have every last part made in the US, but that is frequently impractical. Our values have changed. I don't see people working for quality, I see people wanting fast cash willing to produce mediocrity. The American consumer wants as much as they can get for the least amount of cost, which is pretty normal human behavior. The bad part of this is that the money isn't all staying local. The good part that we too often take for granted is that Chinese production is only ever as good as the engineering design. The Chinese built a very well-designed stove, because they *can*. That means all of the pollution from producing just about everything on the planet, hangs over the heads of people feeding their families just like we do. Moving so much production to China isn't China's fault, it's been facilitated by our wonderfully brilliant and pure-of-heart Congress. I'd like to say it's our fault for voting them in, but we don't have much of a talent pool to choose from. The system needs a re-design.Ok, enough of that, I really like this stove and I think it will stay with us the rest of our lives.

Best deal on the market

I recently purchased a new house which only had cadet heaters and an old wood fireplace. I was looking for something more efficient for the money than the cadet heaters, but less hassle than the wood fireplace and settled on a pellet stove. Looked online a bit and found plenty of options from ~$1700 to $3000. I then shopped around town and was shocked to see even the basic models going for $4000 or more. I was a little hesitant getting it from Amazon since I would have to install it and there is always the worry its defective, but the cost difference was too much to pass up.I was a little worried about the install as i am not a handy person. I had my dad come over (who is very handy) and we were able to get it installed within a couple hours with the installation kits found at the local hardware store (about $300 more). It has been about 6 months since i made my purchase and gone through a winter and couldn't be happier with the product i received. For $250 i received a pallet of pellets which lasted basically the entire winter, much better than the cadet heaters which would have cost me $250 each month.Typically i just use the "manual" mode and leave it at 1 or 2, bumping it up to 3 at times during cold days (sub 30). At level 1 it will run about a day and a half on a single bag (off during the night). Noise is pretty minimal, equivalent to a standing oscillating fan.Getting it running is a breeze. Literally hit the power button and wait 10 minutes or so and its going strong. Cleaning is super simple and the ash tray is large enough that it only needs to be emptied 1 or 2 times a month.Pro Tip: jam a pellet in the lid sensor, otherwise it will turn off when opening the hopper lid.

Great stove, poor delivery

There are mostly pros to this stove and the cons are only about delivery.I don’t know a lot about pellet stoves but we needed to replace ours. My husband said this was great. He installed it himself without any issues. He feels it is much better quality than our old one.I was contacted by the freight company to schedule delivery and I asked if they were bringing it into my house. She said no but that they’d get it as close as possible. On the day of delivery the truck driver said he could not get the truck up my driveway nor could the delivery mechanism (I never saw it) make it up my driveway. I have a long, straight driveway with a slight incline. We’ve definitively had other trucks all the way up our driveway. This was a long truck but I also feel they should be better prepared to actually deliver what they are delivering. So they were going to leave it at the bottom of my driveway. Luckily my husband came home so they moved it From the truck onto his pick up truck and he drove it up. It is heavy so he had to have friends come over to get it into the house (which we knew we’d have to do). There was some damage that obviously happened in transit. I contacted Comfort Bilt and they quickly responded and said they’d send me a new door magnet and some paint for the scratches (superficial). I had not at the time noticed the remote was crushed so I just went on their website and ordered a new one. I probably could’ve contacted them again but I figured the oversight was my fault. The magnet and paint arrived quickly so definitely very responsive.Anyway, stove is in and we’ve run it and anticipate it will work great (it’s only September in Massachusetts so not in full use yet). I will update if there’s an issue but I think we’re going to be very happy.
