Gibraltar SC-700HA 7/8 Inch Diameter Ratchet Tom Arm

Like most Gibraltar hardware this offers an exceptional value. Solid build, functions perfectly. This is pretty much the same as the Pearl 70 series ratchet tilt tom arms. Certainly as solid but offers a much higher value as the cost is about half. Another great piece of hardware from Gibraltar. My go to brand for hardware. Highly recommend this arm & a browse through Gibraltars catalog of products.

It's a typical Pearl-type tom holder. It's a geared design - some people want that for security. I chose it for price. I have my tom mounted to a drum rack that allows me to angle it to my exact position and thus I didn't need a tom arm that has a lot of adjustability. If you want a more adjustable tom arm, then select Gibraltar's higher end model or a Pearl tom arm. This arm, for my use, was perfect and the price was right. It works, stays tight, and doesn't slip. Well, it doesn't make me cookies either.

Like another reviewer said, it's a Pearl-type holder that really does the job. I have always been pleased with Gibraltar products. It is a geared tilter, but I also use mine on a rack, so precise angle adjustments are not an issue for me. I already have some Pearl short tom arms (too short for my rack) and long tom arms (too long - would hit the top of my bass drum). The length of these Gibraltar arms is just right. My only gripe is the small tabs on the included Memory-locks was too big to fit into the corresponding slot in my tom mounts, so I had to use the ones off my Pearl mounts.

Perfect fit. I'm 61, and been piecing a kit together for the first time In 30 years. Sold off everything to raise 5 kids. This is for a cheap fender starcaster drum set. It will do for now.

It is a short arm, bear that in mind. If you need more adjustability options will go with a longer model. May work for small compact kits, but l prefer the longer tom holders instead.

Very good quality

I have used this as a substitute for a Pearl tom arm. Works perfectly. I have used Gibralter hardware for decades, always a quality product.

Hasn't broken yet.Just be sure to check for the right size tube.Only downside is its heavy.
