Steffy Wood Products Toddler Low Book Display

Got this for my 6 month old last year and we've gotten such great use of it. I love the fact that it comes assembled making it useable the minute you receive it (plus this momma has no handy skills). I also love the rounded edges so it's mostly baby proofed. I say mostly, because as parents we still need to supervise our young ones as they go about their work and play. I also consider it beautiful wood work. Hoping to get another one for my son with his expanding collection.

I had been looking for a front-facing bookshelf for my one year old, that she could see her books and both get them and put them away without hurting herself. All of the "sling" bookshelves seemed too flimsy to hold up to a little one who hasn't learned how to be gentle with things yet, and too unsteady to stay upright as she pulls herself up on it.I had begun to think I wasn't going to find a good shelf when I spotted this one. We just got it last week, but I love it! She can pull out her books and put them back (and she does!) without me worrying about the shelves toppling over. And I even put it in the middle of the room so she can "cruise" around it — the back is the perfect height for her to hang on to while standing.The outside part of the unit is made of thick, good quality plywood with nicely rounded, smooth edges and corners. The inner shelves are fiberboard, but smooth and sturdy. The shelves are deep enough to hold board books a 2-3 deep on each shelf and are low enough that she can see the covers enough to know what each book is.

If you’re looking for a quality sturdy low level book shelf, this is the one for you! We practice Montessori style at our home with our 17 month old and this book shelf really aligns and supports what we are trying to achieve. The item came fully assembled and in great shape. The spacing and vertical planks between each level allows for all types of book sizes to be perfectly displayed. Really recommend this for your toddler!

I never, ever write a review, however, I had to write and let everyone know how much I love this bookcase. I was really worried after reading some of the bad reviews, but they were far from the truth. This bookcase arrived assembled. The wood is of good quality and nice and sturdy. My grandchild will sometimes sit in this bookcase with no problem.

Comes fully assembled and I believe it is still made in the USA, excellent on those two points. But As others have noted the shelf dividers are a different color and material, not wood. So may not be for you if you don’t want a two tone look. Overall nice sturdy and we like it, holds just the right amount of books for our little one and then we rotate them.

We love this bookcase! It is the perfect height for toddlers to reach. It is small and compact, but holds lots of books!

This came assembled and its very sturdy and great quality. It can fit maybe 40 books. It does slide around a little if baby pushes on it as I have floorboards, but thinking some carpet underlay might do the trick.

I have bought two of these and highly recommend. Zero chance of tipping and holds lots of books for easily selection by babies and toddlers. Great quality to last through childhood, none of that ripping a month in like with the fabric bookshelves that are much cheaper. This is worth the money - it will last "forever"! And it arrives fully assembled! Also love it being so low to the ground so babies and toddlers can easily reach and see all the books and there is no concern of it falling over if (when) climbed on.
