Good quality hinge
Replaced bent hinges on dump trailer

HD hinge.
The steel is 1/4". The bolt is 7/16". The hinge has bushings but they are some kind of plastic with a shoulder on them. Looks like brass replacements can be installed easily. I'm using this hinge as a stabilizer on a cargo carrier on the back of my Jeep. I'll be back with an update after this project is done and with some miles on it. Update: 3/10/12, my project is not done yet and the bushings are shot from installing and removing the bolt and bushings for welding and trial fitment.

Decent hinge but VERY SLOPPY
Craftsmanship is decent for this hinge, as it is a very simple design. But tolerances are horrible between the "hinge" and bolt so it makes for an incredibly sloppy hinge.With a roughly 3 ft "arm" welded on to the hinge you get over 10 inches of deflection at the end. Would be a lot better with tighter tolerances and perhaps even usableat that point...Will be replacing with a different design in the future, as this simply will not suffice for the application.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR A VERTICAL HINGE!

Good Quality
I used these as tailgate hinges on my custom truck deck. They are very heavy duty and easy to install (provided you weld). The grease fittings are a nice touch for serviceability.
