Fits smaller/youth hand. Lite weight, game ready, very little break-in needed, reasonable price. A good first catcher's mitt. I attended a catcher's clinic given by a former minor league catcher; of all the different catcher's mitts used by the young catchers he comment on the All Star catcher's mitt used by one of the student catchers ....... he preferred All Star catcher's mitts. Great mitt, would recommend and buy again. Compared to other mitts available, for a young catcher, I liked the All Star catcher's mitt the best. Glove came in new condition with all tags applied. Break in was quick with a wood ball mallet. The leather is soft and very flexible and allows my 7 yr old to easily open and close the glove. I would recommend this as great beginner glove for young catchers

My son is 10 years old and here is what he has to say about this glove....For such a good deal, this glove is great quality and will last a long time. The inside is comfortable and the adjustable strap works well. The pocket is nice and deep also. It does take a little breaking in like any glove before it really confirms to your hand. If you want to be an all-star catcher, I highly recommend this glove!

My 10-year old son left his old Rawlings glove at the field, so we bought this All Star glove as a replacement. It didn't require any time to break in, and he was playing with it right away. He's got pretty tiny hands, but the Youth 31.5 fit well. A full set of All Star catcher's gear is on his Christmas list.

It’s not as broken in as the other reviews say, but that’s ok. If your son or daughter is a catcher you should get this mitt. This mitt is awesome!”

Perfect for 8 year old grandson. Easy for a small hand to use from day 1. Requires very little breaking in. Pocket is well-formed, appears to be high quality leather and stitching for a reasonable price.

This is a replacement for my son's exact catcher's mitt. His last one lasted 5 seasons of continually catching before the center padding wore done. He requested his replacement be the exact glove.

I bought this mitt for a 9-10 year old baseball team. The kids throw 40-45mph and they constantly complain about the pitches hurting their hands. It's a good size and very flexible right out of the box but not enough padding. I replaced it with a Rawlings Renegade for just a few dollars more and it is a much better glove.
