Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments - Xbox One

This is a fun and underrated game. The puzzles and clues aren't overly complex, but you do get to use your judgement when you go to make decisions in solving the case. All cases have multiple choices you can make as far as the guilty party, and yes, you can choose to accuse the wrong person(s). In addition, each choice has a choice. What I mean is that you can choose a strict verdict, or call it more of a crime of passion. The graphics are good, but don't jump out and awe, but the voice acting is really good. The gameplay is fairly simple, though I did have to turn down the sensitivity on turning, the default settings make him spin around pretty fast, and it just seemed goofy to me. This is a great pick up, especially at the low price right now. Brand new, I might not have felt it was worth 50 or 60 bucks, but 30 or less (I got it for 15), it's a great value. Definitely recommended.

It's fun, but the gameplay is a little dull. Movement of characters is very robotic. However, I do like the "choose your own conclusion" thing. Makes the game engaging because it really doesn't give you too much direction in getting clues/whodunit.

The game is unquestionably the best in the series thus far. It takes you through some Conan Doyle cases, which may be familiar to fans. The reason this does not recieve 5 stars from me is that it seems designed to make Achievements missable, with the only solution to completely start over in the game. If you get the game, read an Achievement guide prior to playing, just so that you know what you need to do.

It was a bit tedious after a while, this game after about 30 minutes stopped being fun. You could grab all the achievements in the game, wasn't impossible, and a good time waster. Honestly, probably had I known it was coming out on Games with Gold for free, would have never bought it.

Going to be straight to the point. I love Sherlock Holmes. I've read the book, watched the shows, and also the movies so I thought I'd buy the game.The puzzles are pretty neat but I only made past the first mission. This game (for me at least) was just sooooo dull and boring. I just couldn't get myself to keep playing.

This game is great and I can't wait for the next Sherlock Holmes game. I hope they make more games like this. It is a slower paced, thinking game. There are six different mysteries to solve and your choices influence the outcomes. I highly recommend it. But, if you like the fighting and war games that are full of fast paced action, then this is probably Not for you. It is a game you take your time with, investigate, think, and enjoy.

I LOVED this game... There's really only one bad thing I can say about it, and that's that edit time you leave the location you're at it takes a while to load the location you're going to... But, even then, it gives you the opportunity to check your hypothesis instead of waiting for the carriage ride to end...

Characters look so real but game does not help when needed. If your in a rut, there's no way out.

Not a fan of the game but it's a personal preference. bought the game on a whim just to try it out. Works fine.
