Homestyles Arts & Crafts 7 Piece Dining Set, Table and 6 Chairs, Oak

We couldn't be happier with this dining set. Our first major furniture purchase when newly married. We used it in our dining room of our small condo, and it fit perfectly in size and style. Love the black color and the contemporary look. It is just what I wanted and what we needed. Husband was able to assemble just fine, and table and chairs are very sturdy and have held up for 6 years. First 3 years it was in the dining room of our condo, and most recent 3 years it has been in the breakfast room of our new house, and again it is a perfect fit for that space. After 6 years of daily use, finish on top of table has become quite dull and has completely lost its luster. We are planning to spray paint it using a spray gun w/ air compressor and a black satin oil base paint. I would rather do this than get a new table. The table is so worth it, I am happy to invest our time and a little paint to bringing its luster back and it will be good as new.

I ordered Country Oak in this set and the buffet to match. We put the table and chairs together first and noticed the color looked like Cherry, but we thought it might be red oak. This was purchased to be a gift for my Sister so we loaded up our SUV with the assembled table and chairs and I drove 60 miles to her house. While I was gone my Husband put the buffet together. When I returned the buffet was all assembled BUT it was in OAK the color I ordered. I called Amazon and told them what happened and they said they would have UPS come and pick up the buffet but we had to repack it in the box (not fun). In 3 days I had another buffet to give my sister that now matched the table and chairs and UPS picked up the Oak buffet.Everything about this table and chairs is perfect. The chairs are very sturdy and very comfortable and not too heavy. In looking for a dining set in the furniture stores a lot of the chairs were heavy to move around. The weight on these is about 16 to 18 lbs. and very comfortable. All of the shipments of this furniture was packed so well there was NOT A SCRATCH on it any where. Be prepared for a LOT OF TRASH. The instructions were very clear for my husband and I but if you have NO EXPERIENCE PUTTING FURNITURE TOGETHER, I suggest you get some help or plan on TAKING YOUR TIME IN THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS. This is really nice furniture and I feel we got our monies worth. Amazon corrected their mistake with my first and only phone call to them. I have heard some real horror stories regarding furniture stores selling junk that is broke on delivery and then they do not want to replace it, they want to fix it (new furniture). This has been a very good experience for me even with the unexpected color change that is working out just fine. I highly recommend this brand of furniture and try to get it from Amazon, in case there is a problem. Very pleased with this purchase.

The 4 boxes arrived on time, Everything needs to be assembled, I started with the chairs first,after you do the first chair the rest are easy, The instructions though helpful are very vauge in which bolts to use where. Just for the record and to help the next person who would assemble these chairs the medium length bolts are for the back legs and the long bolts are for the front, with the short ones for the seat to back. The first chair took about 30 minutes to assemble after that it was 10 minutes per chair. I used a power driver with the hex key that they provided, all hardware is packed well and include wrenchs needed for assembly as well as one extra bolt for each size needed. The Chairs are very sturdy and are made of hardwood looks to me like mahogany.Next came the table, it was well packed It took a total of about a half hour to assemble. the instructions for the table were good but after assembling the chairs you got the basic idea of what was needed for assembley. The table legs had hex head bolts and came with a wrench to tighten, this was to slow for me so i got a 12mm socket and and rachet to aid in the assemebly. I assembled the table per instructions, the table to was very sturdy. and looked very nice when added to our dining room. The color was not what we expected, it is slightly redder than it is pictured, It took a couple of minutes for us to get use to it, but after leaving the room and walking back in we loved it. The table is also mahogany, not cheap particle board with a veneer like i expected.I would reccomend this table

Well I'm disappointed with my purchase of this product. Firstly the table is sturdy yes. But 4 out of 6 of the chair are messed up. The chairs was not put together right, which means I couldn't assemble them correctly. Which left them unsturdy. Very disappointed, for the money spend.

We love this dining room set. We have bought others sets on the internet before but unfortunately those always showed up damaged or just were not very good or as good as reviews said they were. This one is opposite, it's better then we expected so we are really happy with it. The chairs are something we were concerned with as our last set were really wobbly and broke quickly with teenagers in the house. These are definitely stronger and will hold up, we like that they have extra support on the bottoms and it's one reason we got this set.This table has a leaf for the center and it goes in really easily. The table is very sturdy too and built great. It's a breeze to put together and instructions super simple. They package each chairs screws and such and put them with each chair so you are not digging through various bags trying to find hardware.This set comes in 4 really large boxes, the chairs come in 3 of them in sets of 2 and they are very very padded with styrofoam and other materials to ensure no damage and we had no damage due to it. Just have a few large bags ready though because it is a lot of styrofoam and cardboard pieces that you will have to get rid of. We ended up with 2 large black contractors bags full of styrofoam. Hoping to Craigslist it as our recycling company won't pick it up, but at least it protected the furniture so it did its job. Bottom line: Price is super great, free delivery is super great and the table and chairs are super great, so you won't be unhappy with this table and chair set, I highly recommend it!
