This works well for hard water. It’s installed easily and does exactly what it should. My hair and skin are happy again. Filters like this do need to be changed at some point as they do the job and wear out over time. Definitely recommend and will purchase again

I installed two of these in a split shower setup. My main goal was to reduce chlorine smell and improve the hard-water feel on my skin, and possibly help with scale over time. Before installing, my water measured 218 ppm TDS with a handheld meter. After installation, it measured 209 ppm. So this isn’t a true softener, but there was a small reduction. For me, the chlorine smell went away completely. The water feels less harsh overall, and my face wash rinses off a bit smoother. I also noticed less irritation when briefly opening my eyes under the spray — not something I normally make a habit of testing. I was concerned about pressure loss with dual heads, but flow actually balanced out well with no meaningful drop. The housing feels solid and substantial. It’s a hard shell design — not the thin, glossy plastic that tends to feel brittle. In my setup, the top filter supports more weight than a typical install. I noticed a slight amount of flex at the threaded connections, but nothing concerning. I applied a few pounds of pressure to make sure it wouldn’t crack, and it held up fine. The fit was excellent. They include adapters that allow for male-to-female and female-to-male connections, so compatibility wasn’t an issue in my setup. Washers and screens were also included, which I’ve come to expect. I also appreciated that it’s available in multiple finishes. The rubbed bronze version blends in well with my existing hardware, which mattered in the master bathroom since the filter is visible. At just over $35, it’s not the cheapest option. Similar filters run about $10-$15 less, but some weren’t available in a matching finish. I plan to install a competing brand in another bathroom for comparison. It’s too early to judge long-term scale reduction, but initial results are encouraging. So far, so good — I’ll update the review when it’s time to change the filter or once I have a direct comparison.

OK, so I don’t know how to explain how excited I am from this product because a totally works. Recently I moved out to an apartment and I was showering for a whole week and I noticed my skin getting really red with bumps and really itchy. I really thought I was allergic to something and I look on Internet and he says that I was allergic to hot water for some reason which is insane because I have shower with boiling water from hell and that never happened before although it gets a little bit red because it’s hot but not like that so I thought instead of going to the hospital, I will purchase a filter and see if it works. Turns out I purchased this product and it totally worked. I am so excited for the results and I totally recommended. The size is really big, but it doesn’t matter. I love the color because it match with my bathroom set.

Fantastic! Took me one minute to install it..so easy. I notice a difference in the water too. Hair feels softer and not as dried out.
