Disappointing Affirmations

Got this as a white elephant gift and it was a huge hit! Pages were read in between each person’s turn picking their gift, and the rest of the guests got to laugh and be entertained while waiting for their turn. Silly way to entertain. Don’t regret getting this at all!

The Affirmations are hilarious and more true than the trite ones people tell you! I received this as a gift and ended up buying more for my friends. The is the perfect gift for that cynical friend. Great gift!

Book was hilarious and full of quite a bit of content. Gave as a gag gift and they are still talking about it. Honestly much better than the funny kids books or other gag books. Truly funny.

I ordered this intending to use it as a Christmas gift, but the shipping took a little longer and it didn't arrive until a couple of days before Christmas. After reading through it (I had tears coming down from laughing so hard), I decided to keep it for myself! I have shown it to several friends and they all loved it and wanted to know where I got it so they could order a copy. Highly recommend!

I have one as a bathroom book and another in my psychiatric office. Patients think it’s hilarious and refreshing.

I bought this for a friend and someone else saw it and asked if they could have one. It brought her so much joy, I couldn't say, "no."So now I need to buy more.

If you have a sense of humor, and see the irony in life, you will get a kick out of these. I’m a therapist, and people are used to be giving positive affirmations… So there is kind of an ironic humor in being able to laugh at things that may take a little while to fix.

This book has all the funny sayings found on the Disappointing Affirmations Instagram page. Unfortunately, some of the sayings go across two pages, and the binding wasn’t formatted for that. You can’t read the words at the center of the two pages as they are bound together. This book would be five stars if it wasn’t for this issue.
