Excellent, with some caveats.
This cooling pad does indeed work as advertised. I'm seeing similar temperature reductions as those advertised in the listing and am thrilled with the performance. The chamber design is brilliant and does seem to work better for me than past cooling pads that I've owned that are just simple flat designs. Build quality is fine overall. The plastic does feel a little cheap, but it seems to be well constructed and I'm confident it will hold up to general wear and tear. I will say that the pad isn't really a universal fit for all laptops. I'm using it with an Alienware m16 R1, and when placing it where it should be on the pad (i.e. the chassis aligned with the foam ring and the front clips raised in place) a good portion of the intake panel on the bottom of the machine is completely covered up by the foam. At best, this prevents the pad from doing its job and at worst can worsen your temps by reducing airflow. I'm not taking any stars off for this, as I realize that it's impossible for the manufacturer to make a truly "one size fits all" product, but it's something to keep in mind. I have my laptop sitting with the front of the chassis hanging an inch or so off the front of the cooling pad to prevent the intake issue, which makes the clips useless and also blocks the RPM display on the pad. This isn't a huge deal, and the laptop still sits perfectly secure. I don't have any issues with it slipping off the front, even with the cooling pad raised to its highest position. The foam ring does a good job at preventing any slipping. This could very well be a problem specific to this generation of Alienware machines given the design choice with the large rear I/O panel, I'm not sure, but again, it's something to keep in mind. If you do decide to buy this pad (and I do recommend it despite this issue) just study the bottom of your laptop to make sure that no intake vents are blocked.

Works better than expected! Worth the inflated price.
I hate being shaken down. This is an item you buy because you really need it. It's priced ridiculously high as a result. However, the device works better than any device I've tried. I own a MSI Prestige 15 laptop, which is very powerful and capable even today, but it got so HOT I was concerned it would bake itself, and I reduced CPU, GPU and other use, so I couldn't tap its' full capabilities. This device forces air thru the laptop faster than the laptop can take it. At full force, air starts coming out of holes in the laptop I didn't even know existed, including between the keys. It keeps the ENTIRE laptop cool, not just the key spots like the built in fans do. I can do heavy work all day long with the cooler's fan at 600, with acceptable noise level for office work. If I push the laptop extra hard, I've needed to crank the cooler ip to as much as 1400 at which point it's pretty loud. Given how expensive the laptop was, and/or how much it would cost to replace, it's worth the price for what should otherwise be a $25 item.

Great laptop cooler, a little loud!
Crazy good cooling. Definitely loud if you are running this full speed, but does the job at under 1000 rpms. Legitimately can decrease temps by up to 20c during gaming. Wild!

Works great, can run games noticably better for longer!
I game on a Asus Zephyrus M16 with a 3070 TI and 12th gen i9. And it gets HOT. While I understand that using a gaming laptop is bad, it's all I have and it has worked great for a few years! So here's the good: Cooling: Great. I can notice a performance increase after longer periods of gaming. Control: Pretty good. You can change how fast the fan spins per 100rpm. Which is nice, so I can vary the noise levels. Form factor: Excellent. for me this is perfect it sits the laptop up nicely, allowing air to better circulate. And the bad: The power button is REALLY REALLY difficult to push. I have had it for a few days and I have got to unplugging it and replugging it back in to use it. The noise: this is the be expected, so I wouldn't fault them. But when the fan hits 2800rpm it is AGGRESSIVE. however my headphones drown it out.

Greatest Laptop Cooler Ever
Works great for my gaming laptop - idle temperatures dropped about 5-7 degrees C, and gaming temperatures dropped 10-20 degrees, depending on what game I played, and RPM of the fan. An important factor to note is fan speed and noise, which will increase at a sharp rate as you heighten the fan speed. 300-600 RPM was quiet enough to go unnoticed, whilst maintaining a significant decrease in temperatures, 600 up to 1200 would be a bit louder, and decrease temperatures another 4-6 degrees, and 1200+ RPM would produce significant noise, and only decreasing temperatures by 2-4 on my laptop. For gaming, I found the sweet spot considering cooling and noise was between 800-1600 RPM, and 300-600 when idle. with Overall well worth the price for performance, and a must for any high-end gaming laptops. Other thing to note: Knob to change fan speed is quick and responsive Size may be an issue if you constantly travel with it Conveniently comes with a usb hub Build feels sturdy and durable 5/5 !!!

Definitely does what it’s supposed to do.
Works great. Quite at lower speeds but gets noisy at higher speeds. I used a CPU temperature monitor app and this definitely kept cpu temps down. Enough so that the laptop didn’t need to throttle processing speed. About a week after buying this, my wife took it for her laptop.

drops both cpu and gpu temps considerably (i9 14900hx cpu and rtx 4090 laptop gpu), CPU of course will try to draw more power as it cools so it will seem less effective on cpu when looking at the maximum temperature spikes, but the averages while idle and under load will drop heavily nonetheless. very impressive results on GPU, raytraced 1440p gaming & large resolution stable diffusion use never saw it above 70 in the ~10 hours i've so far used it, compared to mid-high 80's when simply raised at the back. have been running this at 600RPM, it goes up to 2800, so if you're okay with more noise you can get even better results. i live in a dusty environment, so the vaccuum seal & dust filtration are a huge plus, and the primary reason i chose this cooler, everything else has just been a pleasant surprise. if you have the rare laptop that vents heat out the bottom, then this is definitely not for you, otherwise absolutely yes, 160 AUD to help insure a 5000 AUD purchase is well worth it.

Best cooler ever. If you have a high end laptop which overheats due to cooling issues, buy this!

the first thing you need to get for your gaming laptop, really, protect it from overheating with this amazing cooler with a seeling foam and huuuge fan to pump the air into the laptop vents and literally cool it down in less than a minute, great investment. protect your expensive laptops, you worked hard to get it, some extra money for longer age is worth it.

Yes at the highest speed it is VERY loud. At the middle (1400 RPM) it is still quite loud but bearable white noise with headphones. But it literally cut my laptop’s temps almost in HALF. Under load my CPU temp would reach up to 100°C and GPU up to 85°C, at 1400 RPM it dropped to under 50°C CPU and under 40°C GPU. I’m very impressed. Good quality product, came with everything you need (AC adapter for power, USB A to USB C for extra USB Ports, extra dust filter, and a slick XXL mouse pad which is a decent surprise. Only other minor critique is the power button takes a bit of force to turn it on/off.
