Does exactly what it says it will doTurned up very fastOnly reason for the review was to add this photo in case you end up with the broken light cover and cannot get the old remaining ring of glass off like I had. After trying a number of methods to remove it I found a small piece of wood (about 2 inches square) and then split off some of the end so it tapered slightly in one corner, then pushed this up into the glass ring that was stuck in the top oven. Once in place I spent about 5 minutes just moving it slightly left and right, as it was stuck and not going to come out in one go. Eventually it came out and was able to replace the glass without the tool. I found the extraction tool has little use if the glass is broken, but is fine if just replacing a lamp

Fits fine and so far as withstood the hot oven temperatures with no signs of cracking after a couple of moths use.Further information: This was discovered with a full crack across it in November 2017 with just very light usage over the 11 months since being fitted. After initial satisfaction a great disappointment!

Have bought a few and each time they last about three months. The glass bulb detaches and leaves the glass in the thread which then becomes near impossible to remove. Have just bought from a different seller thinking that generic quality may be better. Let’s see if the new ones last.

I had one of these so I have a spare when I take the other one off every month. I just soak it in caustic soda (mind your fingers with that stuff as it burns), and pop the clean one back in the oven. Leave it soak overnight with the oven trays and it comes out like new.
