Newman's OwnBlack Bean & Corn Salsa, 16 oz, 2 pk

This is my familys most favorite salsa. Everything about it is so good. Just the right amount of spice and very hearty!

This salsa is very good. We use it on nachos and fajitas. We have been using this for quite a few years. We also like the idea that proceeds go back to the community. We use a lot of Newman's products.

I have used the Newman's Own Black Bean & Corn Salsa in my White Chicken Chili for many years. It was perfect. The flavor was amazing, and it was thick out of the jar with chunks of beans. I can no longer find it locally so I ordered it here. It was so good that I was willing to pay $10 a jar and put both in the pot.I will say the packaging was great for the jars (I bought four). Each jar was bubble wrapped and placed in a small box which was then placed in a larger shipping box. They arrived with no problems. However the salsa itself is a HUGE letdown. They have changed the recipe. It is a watery salsa with all ingredients completely blended with no chunks. All four jars are like this so I am now looking for a new salsa for my chili. Such a shame because it was perfect before and now not worth the $10/per price tag.

My husband loves this salsa, but unfortunately our grocery store has stopped carrying it. I surprised him for Christmas with 2 jars that I ordered from Amazon. It was a great stocking stuffer and delivery was perfectly timed for Christmas Eve. I took a point off because of the price, too high to buy on a regular basis.

A great flavor that is a little different from other salsas. It has a bit more vinegar. We think it tastes great and it seems lots of other folks think so also has it is always sold out on the grocery shelves.

I love Paul Newman products mostly because of the donations they create but this black bean corn salsa is the absolute BEST salsa if it’s kind on the market today!

I'm not going to comment on the pricing, as my local grocery used to carry this Bean and Corn version, and stopped carrying it 3 years ago (only carrying the regular Newman's Medium Salsa (also good) after that). Faced with trekking from store to store and potentially making side deals with grocery managers, I'll choose the constancy and time savings of Amazon delivery to my door. I may end up paying double per ounce, but it's better to have it on hand, and the transportation savings may end up covering the difference.That being said, I do love this salsa. It has a heartyness with the beans - never watery, and it never separates. Corn, beans, five different types of peppers, all with a rich and thick tomato paste. Add to nacho chips with cheese, and top with sour cream and guacamole, and you have Nachos Grande! By itself it's already a four-layer dip. Not too spicy either - equivalent to the Newman's Medium in terms of heat level, but a more complex and robust taste.Don't be dissuaded by the reviews that focus only on the pricing. There are several different packages on Amazon, so find one that works for you and enjoy!
