Q: i am a size 8 what size should i get?

I wear an 8 1/2 normally, so I bought a 8 1/2 and the fit was pretty perfect. I will say that the shoelaces that come with the shoes weren't long enough to comfortably make a bow, so I bought 45" cloth, flat laces instead. Love the shoes, though. My arthritic feet definitely feel better with these.

Q: Are these sneakers cushiony on the matatarsals?

I returned the shoes. Although, they were very cushiony I didn't feel that they gave my feet the support on the sides. The shoe has mesh and doesn't give a lot of support.

No, I've found them very comfortable. Perhaps you've used too many of those thin additional insoles they included with the shoes?

Yes, I also have a high arch and cannot wear a flat shoe any longer. When I first got these, I didn't think I liked them, but I think I just needed to break them in a bit. I now have 2 pair in 2 different colors and I wear them everyday for work. I can put these shoes on at 7am and still be in them at 7pm and my feet do not hurt at all. Love them!
