Great for helmets! Quick-drying and excellent colors!
I wanted to try my hand at camouflaging a MICH 2001-style high-cut helmet, and decided to buy this camo paint set to have a variety of color options. Using the Earth Brown and Forest Green really brought life to my plain, desert tan shell. I originally thought the fact it comes with only one khaki would be a problem, but both fortunately and unfortunately, I didn't really need it. As is a re-occurring problem with most tan camouflage paints, they're always far lighter a shade than what the cap likes to imply. I've yet to find a shade of tan that fits that more 'yellow-brown' appearance (similar to the helmet base color in the first photo) without being full-on "coyote brown".As for the application of the product, I found it came out evenly with minimal splatter (not that splatter was a big issue for this application), and the quick dry-to-touch times is definitely welcome - you really could paint something in the field and have it ready for use within a few hours for the most part (granted it needs 24 hours to fully cure, but assuming you want some quick camo on even, dull surfaces, the finish will hold up). The takeaway is that I would definitely buy this set again if I needed more of the dark brown and green, as it's far more cost-convenient than buying two of each separately. However, my hunt for the perfect tan continues.Pros:- Cheaper than buying same paints individually- Fast drying and cure times- Excellent, reliable spray- Durable, matte finishCons:- Only comes with 1 can of khaki and olive drab paint- Khaki is brighter than expected (more of a personal problem. If you need a bright, creamy sand color, this is what you want)

I get compliments almost every day.
I decided to rebuild my old Durango that had been stored in my back yard for 5 years. The paint was peeling and dead from sitting under a tree. It would have cost me about $3-4K to get it painted along with the body work needed. Instead, I sanded it down a little, put a standard military camo base on it using Rust-Oleum flat black, brown, and loam green. Then went to Hobby Lobby, got some different types of plastic plants, and used the Rust-Oleum Camo Spray pack to spot spray over the plants. Instead of spending $3k for a paint job that I would worry about getting scratched, I spent about $150 to paint the entire vehicle. I can now keep a few cans of paint around and do a quick touch up if I need it (but I havent had to do that yet, its holding up great so far). Its been in the Alabama sun for 6 months already and its has held its color perfectly. A lot of people think it was a professional paint job and want to know where I took it. One guy at a stop light even asked me if it was a wrap job. I used 9 cans of Rust-Oleum Grey Primer and 2 boxes of the Camo paint to do the entire vehicle. If you are going to follow in my footsteps, I would suggest getting a spray paint can handle to do it or you will have some seriously tired fingers. Rust-Oleum Camo Paint has turned my Old Beat Up Durango into a vehicle that makes an Old Infantryman Proud.

***Perfect for rifle paint***
Great mix of colors. Was easy to apply and appears to be pretty durable. Had so much fun I am now looking around the house for other things to paint.Coverage is good. Goes on thick enough to paint quickly but thin enough that I was able to spray my entire rifle (trigger was only thing I needed to tape off) and nothing was gummed up. Everything still operates smoothly. I didn’t have to do anything special during my application. I simply threw the rifle down, taped the trigger, made sure my dust cover was closed, and went to town. Couldn’t have been any easier.

Paint eats light!
Used this for painting a few two way radio cases along with any other items I want camouflaged. The green is really the best it just absorbs all light. zero reflection! Everybody knows shine is one of the worst way to ruin camouflage this does not have that problem. This will be my ongoing pick for camo paint

Colors are good, cans spray well at any angle
Does very well. Colors are good, cans spray well at any angle, consistent coverage, and quick drying. Did this with some masking tape and laundry bag netting, and only had to wait about 20mins between coats, since it was dry enough to handle. After 2 hours in the oven it was cured well. It’s holding up well, though this isn’t ceracoat or duracoat, so don’t expect miracles. Fortunately I like the well used look you get after awhile, and if it gets too rough well...paint it again ya nerd!
