A beautiful camera, a joy to behold, that creates incredibleimages!
Honest disclosure: I am a Leicaphile. And I love monochrome photography! The M 11 monochrome not a perfect camera! But it comes extremely close, and will be appreciated by those of you who favor monochromatic imagery packaged in an amazing, classic M camera design. Must admit that it took some time for me to become familiar with all of the many settings and new tools that are part of the camera software. I would say that one should expect the learning curve to be a little bit steeper than prior M cameras of former days, which were extraordinarily simple devices. This one is definitely more complicated than, say, the Leica M6 way more complicated! But all of the complications are extremely helpful and useful and once one has mastered the menu system and “made the camera one own” it is truly a joy to use. I can only say that the images produced are in my opinion magnificent. Black and white, monochromatic photography has never reached a higher peak.
