Stretch Velvet Knit Plum Fabric By The Yard

Absolutely beautiful fabric. I couldn't afford the $100 velvet top in the Soft Surroundings catalog so I purchased 3 yards of this fabric at the astonishing price it is offered for and made a top very similar in style. When I wear this top I get so many compliments. The fabric drapes so beautifully and feels wonderful. I will certainly buy more fabric from this company.

This is exactly the kind of fabric I was looking for and I was happy it wasn't far from what I was expecting since it's hard to buy fabric online. The color as it is displayed in the image on my computer is a slightly deeper/darker purple than what it looks like in person, which is a little brighter of a purple, but I still love it and can't wait to use it to make a hoody design I've been wanting to sew. The stretch is great and the feel is soft and inviting - it is way softer then velour which is why I chose it to make the track suit/ jogging / hangout set I'm designing. Yay, thanks! The fabric is great! I needed to make draping panels and the sellers were kind enough to cut them to the length I needed. It's such a pretty rich plum color and can't wait to use them. I only took one star off because of the package, the box was in horrible shape when I received it, I was afraid the panels might have gotten wet or ruined. They should be wrapped in plastic, even a big trash big or something in case of the box being damaged. I still highly recommend Fabric Bravo for this fabric.

Excellent quality material. It has some stretch but was still thick enough to cover a white fabric. Used this to transform a $6 wing back chair. Very easy to work with. Will definitely keep this vendor in mind for future projects.

I'm giving this one star, not because the fabric isn't pretty, but because it's not the same color as the picture. The first time I ordered this, I thought I was ordering PURPLE velvet, but what I received was a plum color. It turns out that I DID mistakenly order plum velvet, so I chalked it up to not paying enough attention, and decided to re-order it. The next time, I made sure I was ordering PURPLE velvet like the picture shown, and when it arrived it was ANOTHER yard of PLUM colored fabric. I'm highly disappointed because the color shown in the picture is exactly what I needed for a costume. Hopefully I'll eventually find what I'm looking for, SOMEPLACE, but it obviously won't be from here.

I purchased this a liner for a knife case for my knife collection. The fabric was exactly as I hoped. I used it to line the drawers of my new knife case and it looks awesome!

the material is nice, a decent weight with plenty of stretch. there was a problem in shipping but my order arrived within the estimated delivery after contacting the seller.I'm not sure if it's the purple (plum) or the black but one of the colors sheds dye or small particals even after washing it once, I recommend washing it alone a couple times if you notice your hands turning colors while handling it.
