good value n stable pieces

bought this for my teen age son to use to try out different moves; the board is a bit small, but the pieces are nicely balanced and don't easily fall over. its also very clear which piece is which.review edited to add clasp broke within 2 days, not great quality

Not solid wood!

The pieces are made of wood but the board is not. I bought this for my son who's just started playing chess so for that purpose it's fine, but some purchasers may be disappointed with the quality of the board.

Perfect first chess set.

I bought this as a first chess set for my Grandchildren. It is perfect for them to learn the game and is practical, as all the pieces fit neatly inside, when closed.
