Surprisingly strong. Using it for both steering and tilting a trolling motor on a kayak. Installs easily and even comes with its own installation wrench.

This black stainless steering triangle so far seems to be remaining completely corrosion free. It has worked well to replace my more fragile plastic triangle that came with my electric outboard motor for my kayak. I did decide to not use the metric screws provided in order to remain standardized with 1/4" 20 thread stainless bolts on my kayak.

Worked out perfectly for my revised kayak. I replaced the top of a Minn Kota hand motor, and put this on the pole in order tot with the cables. Now I don;t have to hold my arm behind me to turn the motor for steering on my kayak. Works like a dream!
