When I bought Poppy Austin shampoo, I wasn't delighted, to be honest. I thought to myself: "Yes, it is sulfate-free, and yes, it is made with 72% organic ingredients, but what in the world is this Sodium Laurylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate thing? It sounds dreadful!". Well, threat not - it is a sugar compound, gentle for hair and not harmful at all (as I googled it :P). So, after my initial reluctancy, I started using it. And - oh, heavens - it is amazing. It leaves the hair baby-soft and smooth like a silk. After first cleaning, I was literally standing in the room, stroking my head like an idiot - that's the result I got. As a big fan of "no poo" movement, I struggled to find shampoo that wouldn't be neither "sham" or "poo", and I must admit I have found it. Some may find the smell a little weird, but as I use hair masks and oils, I simply don't mind (the shampoo scent is delicate, so my hair usually smells with other hair care products, rather than the shampoo itself). Oh, and the company apparently help women in Morocco, too. Five stars!

Really disappointed with this product - I'm happy to pay a premium for natural alternatives but this is little more than overpriced soap water. I've used other argan oil shampoos and have been impressed and thought this would be even better based on the price and packaging, I was wrong. It is extremely runny; like pouring milk into your hands. It's quite the challenge getting it into your hair and not onto the floor of the shower. It doesn't have a nice argan oil scent, in fact it smells very faintly of paint. On the plus side; it does lather up and clean my hair, but not to a particularly high standard. Needless to say, I regret purchasing this completely.

I ordered the shampoo and conditioner based on the reviews on the website, however when I received it the conditioner was fantastic with a seal that had to be removed on the bottle and was thick and as expected- the shampoo had no protective seal on the bottle and was like water - when I tipped the bottle up it was so runny it just poured out and I lost loads of it and it didn't lather up - I am wondering if it had been tampered with as it didn't have a seal on it - I am disappointed as thought it was going to be fantastic - I would like to try and contact the seller to find out if this is how the shampoo should be?!

Not the best shampoo I've ever used. When I unpacked the bottle it was already open. Very watery texture wasted most of it just to put it in my hair. won't be buying this product again.

I have left it a few weeks before leaving a review for this product because I wanted to give an honest opinion of the shampoo. Well I like it and probably would buy it again. Leaves me hair soft and manageable even after a few uses. I sometimes find shampoos are OK for the first few uses then seem to stop working as well but I do like this one as its been consistently good. I had used another brand of shampoo that seemed to have totally stripped my hair if felt dry and brittle but this shampoo has help restore its former glory. Yes I would recommend it if your hair is feeling a bit tired, leaves hair nice and glossy too.

Excellent shampoo - so gentle. It does not ruffle up the cuticle as much as other natural shampoos. Neutral scent. You don't need to use very much at a time. It lathers but not overly so. So great to find an organic product like this as I wash my coloured hair daily. Thank you Poppy Austin!

Oh dear!! Must be just me who doesn't like this shampoo. It didn't lather very well and my hair didn't feel clean at all. Also I'm sorry to say that it smelt like paint?! Really disappointed as I usually buy the genuine Moroccan oil shampoo which I've never had a problem with.

Product smells good but it's very watery and it really stings your eyes so be careful it doesn't get into your eyes. Has left my hair feeling clean and soft.
