Lots of room, perfect size for full size truck bed
I used to have a 2010 Silverado 1500 and a typical truck crossover tool box. When that truck got totaled I tried to put the tool box in my 2017 Ram 1500, and it wouldn't fit without drilling holes. I used the no drill clamp mounts to secure my box, didn't want to drill into the bed rails. So that box wouldn't fit in the Ram without drilling because of where the pass throughs were on the box, and the stake pockets or inside of the bed rail on the Ram, they wouldn't line up either way. So I got this Rigid box. Now I secured this to the truck with security braided steel cables and lvl 10 master locks, still didn't want to drill in the truck, in the bed either. I also have bungees as you can see, just to make sure the box stays tight against the bed and doesn't move. With the box all the way closest to the cab in the bed you can still open the lid fully without hitting the glass. The box weighs about 150 pounds, plus the tools I put in it. The 48in Rigid box fits a lot more tools than a similar price bigger crossover truck box, plus the locking system is obviously more secure. The installation of the padlocks is kind of annoying, but it is more secure than a crossover tool box. I used Masterlock M1XT and they worked. All in all, I would recommend the Rigid box, but I would buy it at Home Depot for about 300$, versus like 600 $ on amazon.

Durable
I have the 48 inch and the 60 inch boxes, very roomy, the 48 inch has a long tray that is essential for smaller tools and supplies. 60 inch has a net on the door, and a small tray that works out really good, big one also has a gas spring that lowers the door softly.

Very sturdy
The only thing that wasn’t destroyed in my sons rollover accident was his Ridgid box. VERY durable.

PRICE
Great product but don't buy it from Amazon for $700, you can get it from Home Depot for $319 for same size.
