Davidson's Tea Bulk, Dunsandle Nilgiri, 1 lb Bag

After reading reviews, I knew buying this that it would be a more cinnamon heavy chai, and that’s definitely spot on. I love cinnamon though, so it’s not an issue for me. It just does taste slightly different than chai I’m used to for that reason.I absolutely love that it isn’t a fine leaf tea. I like to use a tea diffuser ball in my cup, but many teas have been finely ground which means I have to use a French press. This one is not the case and it makes cleanup so much easier.

I wanted to get away from my coffee habit. I was looking for a loose leaf tea I could brew in my Keurig K 50 coffee maker using reusable pods. This worked out fantastic. I can put a tsp and a half of the leaves in the pod and get 2-3 cups of some very fine tea. I find this tea high quality, exceeding relaxing and delicious.

I expect Russian Caravan to have a very noticeable smoky presence, but this seemed like a bag of plain old Ceylon. On the other hand, it was a super cheap 1lb bag of loose leaf tea that appeared to be of very high grade (easily Orange Pekoe). I blended it with some Lapsang Souchong and feel like I still managed a decent bargain.Would've been nice if it was properly blended right out of the bag, though.

This tea is a staple in my pantry; I have been drinking it for more years than I can remember. I have a subscription of this for many years now. I make a big batch using my Bochum French press; I have it hot and iced. My husband was not a tea person; now he is and he loves it. I love English Breakfast tea and this one is so good.

In my quest to find the best organic black tea, I tried Davidson’s Earl Grey. It is exceptional tea using organic ingredients. The fragrance of the tea pulls through beautifully when steeping and delivers a smooth, aromatic tea perfect for any time of day. I believe my search is over and I have found an amazing tea for myself and gifts to others. Thank you for such a delicious product!!

I am so pleased with this tea, it is very fragrant when the bag is first opened. It has lots of cardamom in it, you can just smell the richness of the tea and the spices. It brews up beautifully. I make it into a chai latte served cold, and it is delicious.

It's a good, strong, breakfast tea. I'm not an expert but it seems very worth the price. I usually have coffee in the morning but I get the urge to have tea now and then and this hits the spot. I brew it in a drip coffeemaker btw and one Tablespoon of this tea brews a very nice 20 oz mug.

I don't love the flavor of this tea, but that is a personal preference. If you enjoy drinking loose leaf black tea, I recommend trying it yourself to arrive at your own opinion on taste. The dry tea leaves look decent and are on par with other loose leaf teas regarding size and quality. I half expected tea dust based on reading other reviews.The dry tea has a smoky scent, which carries over after brewing. I don't love the smokey scent and find the tea a bit thin in flavor. I drink tea every day (three minute brew with a dollop of milk) and did a taste test with this tea against my usual loose leaf.

This tea have a perfect balance of orange and cinnamon, and the black tea they use seems to be of medium or high grade (like Orange Pekoe).

Loved the rich smell of these leaves when brewing tea. Really adds to the taste experience

This is a fair and honest review of Davidson's Organic Earl Grey Tea. This review is NOT being conducted in exchange for the product; I purchased this tea based upon the reputation that Davidson's teas have earned in our household.When purchasing tea on amazon.ca I always turn first to the offerings provided by Davidson's based first on quality, then selection and value. True to form, this tea did not disappoint!The tea was delivered on time, per Amazon's Prime guarantee, and the packaging was in good order. Inside the outer packaging was the customary brown paper envelope that has an interior lining of foil for strength and plastic to both preserve freshness and prevent dampness or taint during storage to affect the tea. The envelope is re-sealable via a classic zip-loc closure. A legible label is affixed to the outside of the brown envelope to describe the contents, display the logos for USDA Organic, Fair Trade & Kosher ingredients, and finally some generic brewing instructions.Finally, on to the tea!I believe that this is the best Earl Grey tea available. Understanding that 'tastes and preferences' are very unique to the individual, I would challenge anyone to find this tea anything other than truly outstanding. Breaking this tea down to the component parts, black tea and bergamot oil, both are exceptional. The underlying black tea flavour is not lost in the bergamot, and likewise the bergamot is not a simple afterthought when this tea was constructed. There is an exceptional balance between the two flavours, without one coming to the fore at the expense of the other. Based upon my experience, both the black tea and bergamot oil used to construct this tea are premium selections and no quality has been spared. The tea has been trimmed in long-leaf format so should not pass the holes of any strainer or infusing device that you care to use.I would recommend this tea to anyone trying to find a high-quality Earl Grey tea.

Excellent aromatic mix for my London Fog tea. Delicious. Only issue was the package was damaged with a cut right through it upon arrival. No damage to outer packaging at all so must have happened prior to shipping. Loose tea was found inside packing so that was disappointing. However it is still a great product and I highly recommend it. Would have received five stars if packaging had not been damaged.
