I picked up these 1.5-inch steel bearing balls to help stop my 3D printer filament spools from jumping around and jamming up while spinning inside my filament heaters. Dropping these into the center of the spools adds the perfect amount of heavy, centralized weight to keep everything stable and rolling smoothly during long prints. The finish on the carbon steel is clean, perfectly round, and they have an excellent weight to them for this exact kind of fix. They completely solved my issues with unspooling tension and jerky feeding without any hassle. Overall, they are a solid, high-quality solution if you need a reliable way to add weight to your printing setup.

Actually needed these for hand therapy after an accident. For that they are perfect and considerably less expensive than the dedicated "exercise balls" that one could buy.One inch is just about right for the exercises assigned. For that, and coupled with the price, perfect. From a machinist standpoint they are a touch smaller than advertised. I measured 0.993" on my sample. As there is no tolerance listed in the item description, and as that's not what I bought them for anyway, this doesn't affect my rating at all.They arrived lightly coated with a lubricant/rust-preventative and have a high quality feel. I'm definitely pleased with this purchase.

These a solid. I have not put them on a micrometer as I don’t need them that precise and won’t be measuring them. So if you’re in need of solid bearing balls this size, these are it. They’re perfect for my needs. Better than perfect. Just by my hardness tests, don't expect to drill into them. They are HARD steel.

I'm using these as solid Baoding balls. The bearings are well made with no imperfections.

I bought these 1.5" (38mm) steel balls to clear clogs in my shop vac hose. Every week I vacuum a chicken coop with wood shavings, and waste clumps sometimes block the hose. These balls are the perfect size and heavy enough to roll through the hose and break up the clog.Even if you don’t have chickens, you might still enjoy them. They’re solid, satisfying to hold, and could be useful for many projects. The finish is polished steel (not chrome), so they may rust over time, but they can be kept in good shape with a little care.

One star off because of the way they were packed.They were packed so they rubbed against each other during the trip and we're slightly scuffed because of it.They put both of them in one bubble bag which makes no sense because they bump into each other inside the bag.I put some metal polish on them and stuck them in a towel like a hammock and polished them like you do with a bowling ball. Fortunately, the scuffs were buffed out.I figured these would work great for a light workout everyday for the shoulders and arms, and they do.These are much more convenient than swinging dumbbells around, and 4 pounds or so, each, is enough for me at 64.It gives you a harder workout than you would initially think.They're great for lateral raises and rotational exercises.You can do anything with 3" steel balls that you can do with dumbbells, but you don't have to deal with the awkward bulk of a dumbbell.Hello it is right there in the palm of your hand.Of course, you're not going to build much mass with 4 lb, but it's good for toning.Its certainly better than sitting on the couch and becoming a potato, or more of a potato than you already are.My wife can use my balls to get a bit of a workout too if she wants. Lol

I use them to make.paracord monkey's fist so I can't say if they are good steel or not.

Que no miden 12,7mm, como dicen, mide 13, por lo cual no sirven para pistola traumática de aire comprimido, las conservé para mis “resorteras”, una desilusión.

Es mentira que no se oxidan . Las use en proyecto de carpintería y se oxidaron unos días después de introducirlas en la artesanía , por ende me arruinó el proyecto u me hizo perder mucho dinero y tiempo
