Engaging, educational and FUN
Different levels of difficulty to suit the players. Great for both individuals and teams. Lots of fun while learning about geography and history

Geography buffs unite!
We've only played this game once so I can't say much about replayability, but my family (adults and children) thoroughly enjoyed this game and I think the variety in difficulty levels (political vs geographic map, large pyramids vs small cubes) will keep this game being fun for a very long time! As recommended by the instructions (and because of playing with small children, 6 & 8) we started by playing on the political map with the large pyramids and with the easy questions, and even though me and my wife have very good geographical knowledge there was still a good number of questions where we had no idea of the answer, so there is plenty to learn for the adults. The easy questions were of course harder for the children, but they were relevant enough for their level of knowledge that they could make some educated guesses (with some hints provided here and there). And because the game has a mechanism which can punish just blindly copying other people, but also makes sure that people don't fall too far behind, it was a fun and satisfying game for everyone. I'd say this game can be fun for any group of people, even groups of adults, but I think it's especially great for teaching children more about the world. Great fun!

Bought for Christmas for parents and they love it
It’s great! I was looking for a present for parents for Christmas who are very tricky to buy for, got recommended this and it’s great! I was initially worried if it would be too easy/hard but there are so many ways you can adapt the game to your knowledge level including the country/satellite maps, easy/hard questions and the size of counters your use - it’s perfect. Even due to the grid layout places you think you know where they are e.g. London your have to look carefully as it might be on the edge of a grid square! Really enjoyable game and very little waiting around with every player guessing (nearly) every go. Would highly recommend for all ages.

Great game with lots of options for adjusting difficulty
I bought this game for my partner who loves travel and world geography, and we played over Christmas and New Year. The gameplay is fairly simple - you move your playing piece around the edge of the board by throwing a dice and are asked questions for each square you land on; if you then get the question correct you can move on another two spaces. The twist is that the questions require everyone playing to pin point the answer on the world map. If you have no idea, you can choose to copy another player - but they're wrong, you'll then have to move back two spaces. There are lots of options for making the game easier or harder, as the board is double-sided and so are the question cards, with easier or harder options on each side, plus there are two types of map marker, large and small, so you can choose how accurately you want to pin point locations in your answer. We played this game with just two of us and it was fine, although people who prefer complex game play with lots of strategy, as opposed to an emphasis on quiz questions, might find it repetitive. I imagine if you play with several people you get some very varied location guesses. My only complaint is that the question cards are very busy and the answers are grid references, which can be a bit fiddly to check on the map board (especially if you've had a couple of drinks), but overall, great fun if travel, geography and capital cities are your favourite quiz subjects.

Brilliant game, lots of fun. I’ve recommended it to anyone who’ll listen!
This is a really REALLY good game for everyone. After seeing it recommended on a ‘best games’ website, I’m really glad I bought it. The basic game is easy: roll the dice, go around the outside of the board. The colour you land on dictates what question you are asked on the card. And as each card has 6 questions on each side, plus easy and hard options, they are going to last for ages. When the question has been asked, everyone gets a turn to answer. But the best bit is, you don’t have to say anything, you put your piece on the map to show where you think the answer is. But even that has flexibility as there are two different maps, one with labels one without, and pieces that cover four squares or ones that cover just one square to force you to be more precise. But whoa-betide the person who just copies the person before him, because you can lose points if you do the same as someone else and both of you get it wrong. Points can then be awarded for exact answers or closest to depending on who’s playing. With the kids we play closest too with the big counters, easy cards and labelled map (takes about 20-30 minutes to play) but with a group of adults in teams playing with hard cards, small counters and no labels it can be fun for hours. It’s highly entertaining, it’s interesting, it’s educational and you don’t have to know anything about geography to play it (though you will by the time you’ve finished). I don’t usually write reviews on Amazon and certainly not this long, but when you’re buying a board game at this price, you want to make sure it’s worth it. And this game would be good value, even if it was double the price. Just buy it, you certainly won’t be sorry.

Fun for all ages, and all levels of geographical knowledge as well as Trivia knowledge. Everyone who has played really likes it, and in fact I ordered 3 more for gifts.

Definitely learning plenty about geography outside the usual big cities. Lots of question cards, not going to run out any time soon.

I am a bit of a geography nerd and reasonably good at trivia. But the way the "easy" map is set up just knowing the answer to within a specific county and knowing where that country is isn't enough. So I could miss even if I know more or less what the clue is pointing to simply by not being sure where the grid references are. And since they set it up so that each team is able to pick spots on the map that others have chosen - or not (more points are given if you are the only one on the correct grid) it was possible for everyone to participate even if only one "knows" the answer. The flip side without country boarders would be even more challenging, of course, but for a mixed group the easy side works very well. It would be a great tool for learning geography and also can be just played for fun. Being good at poker would also work (I'm not) since you can intentionally mislead everyone if you want and if you can read how people react to a clue you can do pretty well just knowing whether the person or team that goes first actually knows something or is just making a wild guess. I saw this in a bookstore in Edinburgh on a trip to the UK. I am glad I didn't have room in my luggage because it was pretty much the same price through Amazon. I am not a big fan of the changes Amazon has made since JB stepped aside, but it's still the easiest place to find random stuff in new condition. So all in all, this is a great game and a great purchase that would work for almost every age, especially if you play in teams.
